Malik Dime---Indian Hills (reported UW commit)

Re: Malik Dime---Indian Hills

Gonna guess he's going to Iowa State. Typically a player knows a day before they announce what school they're going to, and let the coaches know. Hoiberg wouldn't be wasting his day there if Dime chose Washington.

Plus, how the hell could you choose Washington over Iowa State?

Maybe if someone really likes rain?
Basketball wise, it's a no-brainer.

I could answer this question better if we knew if Dime likes coffee.

I think he will pick ISU too, but don't forget who is one of the coaches at Washington now.......TJ...who was not a bad recruiter in his days at ISU. Plus, Washington has already put together the ESPN 10th rated class for 2015 with four 4 star recruits committed. I think if you compare Pac 12 to Big 12, you would want to play in the Big 12, but we'll see.

Re: Malik Dime---Indian Hills

Back up Mckay one year, be the shot blocking, alley oop dunking star in the paint the next year when Mckay and Niang are gone. It all seems like a sure thing.

Re: Malik Dime---Indian Hills

Hopefully Fred's track record with Hogue and (soon to be) McKay will carry some weight.

Dime would likely come off the bench his JR year, with Niang, McKay and Nader still here, but he would have a clear path to start as a SR.

Niang, McKay, Dime, Tsalbo, Nader and Williams would be out front court in 2015. That's pretty absurd.

Paired with a back court of Morris, Thomas, Naz, Custer and Cooke.

Re: Malik Dime---Indian Hills

Doesn't matter who stArts dime would play a lot IMO. A lot forget Darren Williams is coming too.

Did you know that IHCC has another McKay on the roster this year? Jamaar. Jameel's younger brother, I believe.

Good point.
I thought this year's Hilton Madness seemed unreal at the beginning, just from seeing that all of those talented guys were actually here as this program keeps building.
Next year will have even more of that.

Looking at that, as good as a class of Diallo and Dime would be, getting another guard would be critical.

Re: Malik Dime---Indian Hills

What was Bossi referring to by Fred attending the JCCC to see Dime? Is JCCC a junior college preseason event? Just curious because it didn't sound like he was actually at Indian Hills.

Critical is a bit of an exaggeration. That backcourt would be just fine when you consider who we have in the frontcourt. Would it be nice? Sure. But saying it's "critical" is being dramatic.

Re: Malik Dime---Indian Hills

I don't really get this guy's logic here. If ISU was really confident he was coming here we probably wouldn't waste time to go see him again. Conversely, if we thought he needed a little extra convincing to come here, maybe we send the big dog to watch again and reiterate ISU's interest.

Either way, hope he chooses ISU.

It makes sense to me. Why would Fred waste his time if they thought they were out of it or Dime told them they were out of it?

Depends what your goals are. For a program wanting to be a FF and NC contender it is critical we get another elite guard IMO.
