Average per game stats according to ESPN: http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/team/stats/_/id/2132/cincinnati-bearcats
15 minutes, 2.8 points, 2.9 rebounds, 0.5 assists, 0.3 steals, 0.6 blocks, 1 turnover
33.3% FG, 47.1% FT, 0% 3P (0 attempts)
Let's not get crazy here, he has potential, but averaged less then 3 ppg. And no news that we are even involved yet.
I know that but you cannot teach talent and Cincinnati scored about 40 points per game.
And maybe this is why he wants to transfer. It's possible that his skill set or offensive preference doesn't fit well with the Bearcats.
If that's the case, he may really prefer our way of doing things.
I know it happens a lot (see Jameel McKay and Marquette) but I just cannot believe how many recruits choose schools that run systems that they don't like or that they don't fit in. Know what you're getting yourself into before you sign the dotted line!

Don't get me wrong, I realize the number of stars behind a recruits name doesn't necessarily correlate to college ball success, but it doesn't happen very often that a guy who was ranked 4/5 stars, said to have a good face-up game, finishes above the rim, and much more, yet seems to have struggled making much of an impact. Having said that, he's a only a freshmen who might need a better fit....or do some gurus have to just step up and admit they were off in their evaluation??

And 15 minutes at Cinci is like 2 minutes at EIU!3ppg at Cinci is like 8 ppg for us.

Fred offered originally and that had nothing to do with gurus. I'm not saying he's worth an offer now but the fact that we offered weighs more than a HS ranking.
Cydkar, I don't doubt you, I just can't find anywhere where there is documentation that we have offered him. Did you read it somewhere or are you using some type of inside info?
I think he meant we offered him as a prep - not now with his transfer.

No, I'm in fact asking as a prep. I don't see anywhere on any of his high school recruiting profiles (Scout, Rivals, 247) that have us listed as offering him, much less even listed as interested in him. Granted, those aren't always right so I'm just curious if Cydkar knows something we don't or has read something I've missed. That easily could be the case.
