I don't usually watch SVP & Russillo on ESPN News, but I caught it today and they have four helmets in front of them today: UCF, Baylor, Texas, and ISU. Anyone know why they choose what to put on the desk? And why UCF and not another Big XII team?

It's a conspiracy against the Big 12. They rotate helmets from every conference, but now that it's Big 12 time, we get the shaft. A friend of mine knows someone who works on the show, and he tells me that SVP absolutely HATES the Big 12 because his longtime GF who broke up with him went to Texas. Don't know why they chose ISU though. Someone is probably getting fired.
On a more serious note, unlike other national shows, they regularly acknowledge teams other than the blue bloods, and they probably just randomly rotate the helmets. I seriously doubt it's anything more than that.

We just sent them the helmet about a month ago. I remember he or Russilo tweeting about it. Dan Patrick also has a helmet that he likes to put up in the back of his set from time to time.

It's Ok , we've had more helmets on SVP more games on espn and espn gameday in the last 3 years. (Bows) no syndrome
ESPN for fcs playoffs and a couple espn 2's I believe, and 1st ever game on Fox Sports 1 last year.
