Seems like a perfect fit considering our success with Kane and Fred's ability to coach shooting skills. I would think leading the NBA in 3-pt accuracy would be a factor in anyone's decision if they want to improve their outside shooting. Add to that getting experience playing in an NBA-style offense....

I would not be surprised to see him at ISU next year..

Kid looks like he is built like his dad. And if he wants to develop a better jump shot, who better than learning from the master himself.

This place sometimes reminds me of that family guy scene where they are all tied up and they decide to make up rumors about celebrities to pass the time and then act as if they're true.

Mason will have absolutely everyone after him if he is an immediately eligible transfer. The chances of him ending up at ISU would be low.

While true, there isn't a program who have had the kind of success with transfers that ISU has had. And very few who would provide the opportunities for a scorer like ISU could for this kid.

Smells like Syracuse to me

Maybe, but the transfer market is one place where we have such a great track record that we can go head to head with blue bloods.

He can go to Syracuse and compete with a bunch of McDonald's AA's for time (see Tariq Black from KU) or look at a program like ISU where he can get virtually everything that he can at Cuse, except him starting is almost guaranteed at the SG spot.

Agree. Plus, Syracuse is offensively challenged. Why would an offensive stud want to play for such offensively challenged team?

Hmmmmmm.
Well,...... all Fred would have to do is show him film of Kane this year.
Compare his stats from his previous life to the life of a Cyclone.
Is it that outlandish an idea?

GO CYCLONES

Exactly. Exhibit #1: DeAndre Kane, Big XII Newcomer of the Year (3 in-a-row for ISU).

A little tired of the 5th year senior ruse. If he comes, good, if not, great! I love players that can contribute immediately, but I'm ready for Fred to start really building a program with his own guys. The cornerpieces are there (Niang, Naz, Thomas, Morris, SDW) its time to keep bringing in the HS kids if you ask me.

Go email Fred with your complaints. I'm sure your philosophy is better than Fred's.

Good thing no one asked you. Maybe you would be happier watching EIU.

He's done both. Its not like he isn't trying to bring in good cornerstone HS guys (Niang, Thomas, Morris for example). He's gone after higher level guys and we haven't always won those recruiting battles yet. (Stauskus, Washington, Paige, Abu, etc.) Is bringing in a 3-star high school guy like Percy better than a Hogue, or a Clyburn or Kane? He's done for the most what he's had to do given the circumstances, imo. I don't know, I guess I like the 3 straight NCAA tournament appearances myself.
