Student Section

the logic behind my third reason was: mommy and daddy gets them tickets so their kids can have fun and go see the cyclones, but many of the kids go to the football game because they want to tailgate and get drunk (trust me is not bc our team is good). Therefore, no tailgate in basketball=no reason for some of those spoiled students to go to the event.

But i could be wrong
 
If anybody really wants those students who are not going to the game to hear how disappointed you are... Just leave a message on the ISU ticket trader fb page that way everyone will see it.
 
We need crazy blond haired girl back. She'd solve all these problems.

It's because they oversold this year. Overselling means kids have to be willing to stand outside for hours and not get in no matter who we play. Risk vs reward ..... Reward isn't big enough on smaller games. Kids are staying home because they expect to not get in

Seriously, are these the same kids that showed up for KU, Michigan, and Iowa??? Something isn't quite right here, but I don't have the answer. Flame away, but I don't get it.

I really don't think this is the case. Maybe for some of the bigger games people don't go because they know it will be a long line, but any idiot should be able to figure out that is not the case for every single home game.

Even if they didn't sell them as a package though that would potentially happen.

We have a HUGE game Tuesday. Please students show and be loud. Urge all of your friends with tickets to show up.
 
I took advantage of the upper corner season tickets this year. The last two games, my buddy and I have been able to sit front row in the student section in the upper deck. We were tired of sitting in top row and seeing the student section 1/4 full. Today, we were pretty much the only ones in the area clapping, making noise, etc. The students around us were not into the game at all. The rest of the crowd did their part, but the upper student section is a joke. It sucks because a lot of people want to go to games, but aren't willing to pay the high prices on stubhub. Students, show up to the games and quit making excuses.

Doesnt that mean they are lazy or dont care? Thats exactly the point everyone is making

Well, maybe they should find this website then. Obviously, the last few home games have not been an issue. Not directed to you, but sounds like they are lazy and want to make excuses
 
The fact that the students only get up for a big game like Kansas, Iowa, and Michigan is pathetic... have you seen Cameron? those guys go balls out every game... if we're supposed to be "one of the best student sections in the country" prove it... honestly. it's pathetic. we're a top 15 team in the NATION! be proud. be loud. be absolutely hammered. my d2 school has a better student. we're all hammered. we're unique in our opponents, we get in their heads. Take note from West Virginia students... look what they did to Kane.. they got in his head.

according to cyclone alley and everyone else we are "supposed to be"

"hilton magic" doesn't exist when we play scrappy teams like Tech. It exists when we play the Kansas' and Oklahoma States of the Big 12... They will never show up to teams like Tech and TCU. Again... I point to the Dukes' and Syracuse's of the basketball world... their student sections show up to every damn game. loud proud, plowed.

Well, the student section did to McGary many of the same things that W Va did to Kane and were blasted here for it. Also blasted for not doing such things. No win situation apparently.

**** that. Screw what everyone else says if we get "reprimanded" so what. they're students. Society today is so god damn touchy. hell even McGary said they got in his head. he commended us... back handed compliment but whatever.
