DO NOT RUSH THE COURT

Understand why the court was rushed, emotional win Vs a bunch of douches & a ****** abase but wish we would not have.

The basketball team has been good for 3 years and will be as long as Freddy is here. We should expect teams to lose here. Id rather give them a nice clap for coming here and trying to win.
 
Pros and Cons of storming the court...

Pros:
  • It is fun
  • It allows the fans and players to celebrate together
  • It allows the players to further appreciate the fans

Cons:
 
I love to see the students enjoying themselves. Were all there to have fun. I don't get people that always have to find something to get upset about. Who cares what anyone else thinks? We have one of the best home courts in the country. Don't try to fix what isn't broken. Have fun. Storm the court. Play Sweet Caroline. If we can't enjoy victory, what is the point?
 
Probably already been said, but I just got home from Ames. The #17 team in the nation is supposed to win games like this. I understand that its EIU, but to me; it rubs it in even more when we don't storm the court. If we hit a 3 to win it at the buzzer, I'd somewhat be alright with it.

I think that was close enough to a buzzer beater to qualify. If we beat them by 10+, then no. Still don't know how ISU won that game.
 
I don't understand this. It was a heated game, against our biggest rivals, who were ranked, and we came back from a double-digit deficit to win with 2 seconds left. Why NOT rush in that scenario? Because we were favored? F that noise, have a ball, rush the damn, court, just don't do something really dumb like go after a player/coach.
 
Rushing the court is stupid. This team is too good for it. I anticipate us doing it once again when we beat Kansas at home in a month even though we very well could be ranked ahead of them just like Iowa.
 
Not that it matters, because really, who cares what other teams fans think. But just an FYI, I went to 5 different teams' blogs all of which had a game thread on this game, and all of them laughed at us for rushing the court. So there you go, if you want an outsiders perspective.

A lower ranked team, one picked to be middle of the pack in the Big 10. Iowa State is good though. In what I saw of it, they didn't play all that great, but another win.

Intense game, huge come from behind win... first time since 1987 since both teams are ranked...
I say let them rush the court. Haters are trying to stifle the students' fun.

If kansas fans dont like it we're probably doing something right.

Also, i love Kansas's love of talking about our booing. As if theyve never watched one of their own games. On the rare occasion a call goes against them in AFH, they boo with the best of them.

Actually they had some good things to say about ISU. A lot of them are not looking forward to playing us. But yeah, they didn't like the court storming... It's not just them though, just used that as an example.
