I'm a die hard Badger fan and Cyclone fan. I will tell you right now Iowa State is right where they should be and Wisconsin has no business being 10th and is overrated, Florida is really the only big team they've played this year. They almost lost to UW Green Bay. Go Cyclones!!

Iowa is almost soley being off of what they did last year combined with who they have back. You knew they were going to be ranked early with how many votes they got in the preseason and the fact that they were pretty much guaranteed a 5-0 start. Thursday will be interesting. I think it would have been smarter to play at least one okay opponent before they play their holiday tourny.

All other teams have stood still with no improvement, no matter who they may have coming back, or what players they may have added. Besides, Iowa does things "the right way". When Wisconsin plays Green Bay it's like when we play Drake or UNI. We always get their best shots.

Yes, and we would similarly get raised eyebrows about a high ranking if we struggled that much with Drake.

You don't just finish 2nd in the NIT and then not automatically be a top 10 team the next year.

Well, the game is at Hilton, which some are starting to realize is a great place to watch a game. It's being televised on ESPNU as well, so having a rivalry game between 2 top 25 teams is a big deal, no matter who is playing.

Are people actually surprised about Iowa getting ranked. They were lurking just outside the poll the first few weeks, whether they deserved to be getting votes or not. Once a few ranked teams inevitably fell out, they were always going to sneak in unless they got a bad loss to prove those voters wrong.

It seems a lot of people on here aren't familiar with the way these polls work.

They will play 3 decent teams this week in the Bahamas. Everyone needs to chill out about their easy schedule, its just 5 games.
