I was surprised no one has commented on how poorly the head linesman managed the clock in the closing minute of the first half of the Tulsa game. Even the TV guys mentioned that the clock was running several times when ISU had made a first down and the clock should have been stopped to reset, etc. What could/would ISU have done if time had expired before we scored and it cost us the game?!?

The officals were awful, but they were awful both ways. If we had been on the losing end you would have people talking about it, but in reality it was pretty "fair."

It was not just the last minute of the first, they were starting the clock too soon the whole game.
The Broomfield interception that wasn't reviewed.
The Richardson sneak at the goal line that wasn't reviewed.
West's trap catch that was not reviewed.
Roberson was bobbling that 4th down TD catch as he hit the ground and slide out of bounds. Maybe still a TD, but could have been challenged.

Last night's crew had to have been the Big 12's freshman D team crew. They looked like they had never reffed a game before.

Eric said last night the crew was CUSA. However, I always thought the crew was from the visiting team's conference.

Regardless of where they're from, it was pretty bad across the board (several issues mentioned above). Glad it was not a factor in the outcome, but not a good crew by any stretch.

The crew was in fact a CUSA crew. Between the balls spots, play clock running pretty well continually and some rediculous defensive penalties I was about as torqued as a person could get.

I think Iowa and ISU have an agreement the officials will be from the visiting team's conference and it might even extend to all Big 12 vs. Big Ten games but I don't think it's a nationwide thing.

Yeah, there were really some head-scratchers. They claim to review every play but from how quickly they proceeded there is no way they reviewed Broomfield's interception. I remained mostly calm all night but that really got me hot. Boggles my mind they still can't get this replay system to work right.
