Recruit Lists v2.0

Right on. This class isn't nearly as important as last years.

I disagree. I think any time you have 3 scholarships available (and it will probably be 4 with attrition), that's an important class. I guess I understand if it were just 1 scholarship open or something.

We have some current players to count on, so it's not dire that we struck out, but it's still an important class.

I certainly would have thought it was important if we signed Custer, Vaughn, Johnson and Macura, so I think telling yourself it's not important is just a coping mechanism.

Regardless, hopefully we sign Vaughn + a juco + a transfer. That would be a great class, and an important one IMO.

i never said this class wasn't important, it's just not as important as last years. Every class is important to a certain extent but unlike last year, this class won't break us next year if we miss on our top priorities, like we have so far. Now if they somehow land Vaughn, it can certainly make us a hell of a lot better for 2014. We already have a solid foundation going into next year and have already added Custer and Nader into it. This class is all about building onto that foundation.

2014 won't break us. 2015 does become more important though...

Of course Custer is a great add, and we aren't done yet...

And then there are short-term gap-fills like (grad) transfers and jucos.

I think this class is very important to achieve next level results. I'm not talking NCAA tournament berths I'm talking top 4 seed with big runs.

I don't necessarily disagree - but for the '14-'15, and '15-'16 seasons, I feel like we can do very well with Morris, Thomas, Nader, and Niang as a core lineup.

Looks like J. Terrel is going to Ok. State. Fred needs to beat Ford with more than just his brain pretty soon.

So with all of the bad recruiting news this week, does this thread close and only the Vaughn one stay open?
