I wish the university would have a water hydrant or at least crack a fire hydrant for cooling off made available for the hundreds of us poor people tailgating on the pavement or parched grass around Hilton. I had a small water bladder used for showers and washing up while camping that became empty and asked security where I might fill it with water just for rinsing off, not drinking. They said both Hilton and Scheman were locked and unavailable and suggested driving to a Kum and Go or pumping the water solution out of the portapotty wash station before it became empty! If it is as hot for the Iowa game as this past weekend, I may go the Duck Dynasty route and place a tarp in the bed of my pickup and fill it with water! Hey, Happy, Happy!

I saw a couple people that did that in student lot off 16th. Mini pools and bikinis.

I don't see why you should blame the University for your poor planning. It's not like it was a surprise that it was hot out.

I heard the SEZ is going to have a swimming pool in it with a 8,000+ person capacity. I guess until then we have to wait.

Luckily the extended forecast shows a high of 81 for the Iowa game on the 14th.

Open up the cy ride building over by a3 so people can get water. I didn't have a problem but it would be smart.

what are you, 8? Did you really expect the city to get the fire hydrants running so you could run through them like a kid at a block party? Find shade, drink water and if you really need to cool down bring a battery powered fan like an adult.

1. If you can't take the heat, don't tailgate.
2. Prepare somewhat intelligently for tailgating and it isn't a problem.

I drank 1 water for every 3 beers.
That lasted for 6 beers.
I then switched to alternating water and beer.
That lasted for about 3 beers.
I then switched to all water.
That lasted the rest of the day.
