anybody else watching this? NASAR Truck series having a points event at Tony Stewarts Eldora track live on Speed. Pretty exciting so far, I think the top two series should put in a dirt race or two.

The A-Main has been pretty good, but the heats had little action. I think this race is a great idea.

I've just never gotten into NASCAR. I think it has to do with the fact that I was raised in a home that didn't have wheels on it.

Nascar and Tony Stewart are just racking in the money on the event. Tons of fans in attendance and the TV rating have to be through the roof.

No doubt, Eldora Speedway always has fans, no doubt they would support this event. I assume this race is a mainstay on the circuit. Was hoping Kenny Shrader would be more competitive but this will get interesting between Larson and Dillion.

My only beef is they are counting the caution laps. I know that's what they do in Nascar, but they need to not count them, since it takes 5 or 6 laps to get back going.

Great racing. No talk of aero-push, aero-loose, clean air, etc. Just old school, bang into the next person to pass them, type racing. The Last Chance Qualifier race was the highlight of the event for me...so many "no name" guys fighting to get into a NASCAR race for the first time ever. And it was really interesting to see how well the non-dirt track guys competed with the dirt track ringers.

Ratings, at least for SPEED, had to be through the roof.

I sure hope NASCAR brings a race to Knoxville soon. Rumor has it they wanted to race on dirt for awhile and it was between Eldora and Knoxville, but Eldora won because Tony Stewart owns it. I would love to see the Nationwide/Sprint Series run on dirt for a race as well.

ASA series has done it for awhile, I really hope they try a Nationwide next and see the interest is there. This is grass roots and most NASCAR fans are associated with local dirt racing as a hobby. NASCAR does everything to connect to the fans and I believe they will see that Dirt racing has a spot on the top levels.

Bloomquest was a huge dissappointment, but just shows that these top level NASCAR drivers are the best in the world no matter what vehicle they get In.

I would love to see this at Knoxville, but that would be a big blow to the Iowa Speedway, as NASCAR would probably just switch the race from one track to the other.

Really disappointed in Scott Bloomquist's finish, was hoping he would run top 10.

This. There were several non-dirt NASCAR drivers that did really well last night. And outside of Ryan Newman, there were no Cup drivers (Larson, Dillion(s), and maybe a few more will get there eventually). You are right on...any NASCAR level driver, even if its on the third tier truck series, are still really, really good.
