Official 2014 Recruiting thread

Would love to get Jauan and Geronimo, but I'm greedy, and would take another guy like Kenric Young, too.

Looks like Young is gonna take an official visit (or wants to anyway) for the texas game. He will be there with Lazard who is taking an unofficial visit

I loosely follow recruits tweets and rely mostly on "aggregators" like cyclone recruiting retweets. But even with as little effort as I put into it Wesley has popped up with pro ISU tweets again and again. Got to think with the timing of the ISU love and the visit there is at least a chance he's ready to commit.
Glad you follow us! We try our hardest to get as much solid information as we can out there for recruits and Cyclone Fanatics!

I can say without reasonable doubt that the weakest position on offense heading into the season will be Wide Receiver, but that's only because they are so young and unproven. Is it a good thing to be recruiting a lot of guys at a position that is as deep as WR? I'm not sure, but I'll trust in Rhoads' judgement.

Well, considering that "Rhoads judgment" includes him saying in the Spring that WR is the thinnest position on the team, you may be on the right track.

Agreed and IMO with the spread offense the WR position is a lot like the RB position. It's almost impossible to have too many quality WR's on the team. So sign what you think we need and then recruit a couple more.

I have a feeling that Lazard will be at most games helping recruit whoever is visiting.

Just followed you on Twitter, so +1.

Wesley was the "most explosive" WR at the Chicago rivals camp earlier in the summer. It was said that CBs there couldn't keep up with him. Want.

Wesley, Lazard and Mister would compliment each other greatly. You have to play them all honest cause if you start cheating to stop one of them you are gonna pay.
AL is gonna draw double teams so I hope like hell we get Wesley.

If we do end up getting Wesley, I wonder who and if the staff goes after next. Also I believe that he is a Core 6 member which is something that Dewayne Hendrix is a part of. Maybe that sways some more interest are way. Another recruit that comes to mind is Micquell Cotton who is Dewayne's teammate that has us as his favorite.

"Goes after next"? I don't think they recruit one at a time....

Let's just say (for the sake of discussion) that Wesley commits to the good guys...

how many more WRs would we take in this class? Would we still pursue Kenric Young and Geranimo? (Assuming they're the next best WRs).
