Thats a good point. Also, I'm surprised that Walden didn't try to get him on the football team when he was at ISU. We were running the tripple option then and he probably would have been a good fit at QB. Maybe Walden did try and Johnny said no because we were god awful and he would have gotten destroyed.

When Hoiberg went to Arizona on a basketball visit and found a cardboard poster on his bed covered with signatures and which read "1,000 Wildcat Fans Want Fred Hoiberg at Arizona," he was interested.
Does anynone have stats/info on who recruited Hoiberg for football and basketball out of highschool? I see from wiki that kNebraska did for quarterback. Thanks!
