Recruit Lists v2.0

Is there like a break down of what coaches are recruiting who? I'm curious to see who Doc is after and how they play out... It sounds like he was a great recruiter up until becoming a HC... And you would think it would be even easier to recruit for Fred and this electric offense.

The word I keep seeing with Johnson is 'versatile.' Sound like a Hoiberg big man?

Of course, I'm not sure on the context. Can he step out and shoot or does it mean he can play with back to basket/face up?

Either way, I want him. He looks like a late riser in the rankings a la Niang and Thomas and was offered by Izzo.

I've read athletic and gifted defensively with an enthusiasm for running the court. Offensive game is developing, but I'm sure Georges is a good teacher

From the mixtapes I've watched, he can dunk (very bouncy) and a dribble pretty decently. I've read that he looks to be developing an outside touch.

Anyone heard how the JJ visit is going?
Yeah, has anybody heard? If we land him, does that mean we are no longer chasing after Abu and Travis? With three openings, I'm wondering if Hoiberg is only going after one big man and two guards, or if he's got other ideas. If we land Jaylen Johnson, my wishlist for our other two recruits are Vaughn/Macura (I think we're more likely to land Macura than Vaughn) and Travis (still hoping we get him since he can play the 3). NC State is chasing after Travis pretty hard, and they're tough to compete against in the recruiting market. Just look at their class for '12, '13, and who they've already signed for '14.

Agreed. We lost Washington to NCState last year

Considering the rate of transfers or jucos available each year, I get the idea of "banking" a scholly for those players who might sign later. But considering someone usually leaves, for assorted reasons, I'd be shocked if we ever bank a scholly.

Look mister, you bank schollies if you're doing it the right way.

I think we take 2 guards if one is Vaughn. Otherwise I think we take 2 bigs or at least 2 forwards with someone who can play the 3 and 4.

First time I've been on here since Grandstaff committed to OSU. I can't believe Ford's ability to recruit. Do players/students who commit there realize they will play all of their home games in front of empty seats? Not to mention it is Stillwater, OK?

Dolla dolla bills yo

Grandstaff should have had it pointed out to him that in chess match type games, Okie State will lose most every time.

Butler is a great academic school, but I don't see a kid getting wowed by a visit to the Butler campus. The athletic facilities are not on par with ours. Hinkle is an awesome old school field-house with a lot of history, but a game there is not even close to the atmosphere we have at Hilton in my opinion. In general, I think Butler has more pull with Indiana kids than they do with out of state kids.
