ladies and Gents. The double Flop

I didn't think they flopped all that bad. Asik obviously didn't barrel into them but there was definitely enough contact there to warrant a charge.

I watch the NBA because it's like methadone for college basketball.

It kind of amazes me that people watch the NBA at all anymore.

Agree, I understand there are fantastic players and athletes in the NBA but it is just mind numbing boring to me. But what do I know I love watching NASCAR.

I disagree. Look at momentum. One man runs into two men at a moderate clip, but the two guys go flying away from the "collision" like they were hit by a slow moving car, and the guy who ran into them doesn't even break stride.

Either Asik is made of something incredibly dense like depleted uranium or he's got a collapsed star in his pocket. Because a massive amount of mass is the only logical explanation for their reaction to the "collision".

Either that, or they flopped. Massively.

You are right about the charge. He did run into them. But, my God, that flop was epic.

Well I mean....... he is the Turkish Hammer, so I'm not exactly sure what all he's made of...

That one guy is also a hell of a lot bigger than the other two. That was a pretty normal looking charge. Almost all charges take alittle selling from the person taking it. It didnt look that funny other than the fact that there were two people to take it charge.

Selling? That was more than "selling". Look at how both of them slide across the floor simultaneously. If "syncronized flopping" ever becomes an Olympic sport, these two will be the first qualifiers for Team USA.

And so what if he's bigger than those two. Is he 7000 pounds bigger? My estimate is that the combined weight of the two floppers is more than the combined weight of the Turkish Hammer. And his reaction to the collision that sent two guys flying across the floor like pedestrians from a car crash? He didn't even break stride.

ruxCYtable has a good point. Maybe "flop" is a bad word here since the charge DID occur. But the sell job they used just screams "flop". What would have been hilarious is if the ref had called timeout, immobilized those two where they landed, and had the team doctor come out to check for spinal injuries. Then, while they're laying on the floor feeling like jerks, whisper in their ears "Next time you pull that crap, I'm teeing you up."

NBA is much better to watch than college anymore. By a wide margin actually

Purely opinion. I actually kind of like the Bulls, but to be honest, I can't sit through a pro basketball game at all. I suppose it's one of those sports that just isn't my thing. I think the biggest is the length of the season to me. I've enjoyed the NHL so much more this year because of the shortened season. Every game and every point means so much more than it did with an 84 game season. This is just my opinion, but by the time the NBA Playoffs roll around, I'm bored with the game, especially when it seems theres a 99.9% Chance the heat win it all again.

Flop, Flop. No way that's a charge. He had slowed down to the point that he was barely moving when he touched them.

Well the charge shouldnt have even happened as Harden took about 6 steps without dribbling at the beginning of the clip. NBA is almost as bad as watching soccer.

I don't see how someone can claim to be a basketball fan and not like the NBA. It's a great product, especially this time of year when the storylines get magnified.

College basketball is OK (nothing compared to how it was) but I'll take some flopping in the NBA over watching Marquette score 39 points in a regional final game.

NBA is a terrible product. It's not even within the rules of basketball. They travel every possesion. They all stand around for the most part and let the star of the team chuck up 40 shots and score 40 points. They have some good dunks. Overall the players are great great players. However, the whole of the game is terrible. It is boring to watch. The best part of the NBA is watching the highlights. Thats it in my opinion
