Rhoads> Ferentz???

The idiocy on this board should be # 1 on that poll-along with you and MikeyM. Don't want to offend the good posters on here. Just the fringe sheep.
You really do demonstrate symptoms of hurt back there.

I'm a little surprised Ferentz is that low (when you get down to it, it's not like there are really THAT many good coaches out there), but Rhoads should definitely be significantly ahead of him. Iowa State has been trending up and been working with less (at least in most of the years since Rhoads took over), while Iowa has been trending down.

Oh corky...is it even possible to be more worthless than you?

The fact that you condone rape cover ups, drug cover ups, denying people housing who really need it to pay players, makes you THE lowest form of life on the planet already.

But to add the incessant need to show how insecure you are by whining about these inconvenient FACTS is really pathetic.

Couldn't tell if this was from 2 years ago or current-because all your crap sounds and looks recycled,Mikey. Can you pull out some more golden oldies for me so I can feel at home. Please, sparky??? Would really warm my soul....

Having Rich Rodriguez at # 22 tells me all I need to know about this poll.

You mean the guy who took Arizona from 4-8 to 8-5 in one season with basically the same talent level? Or is it because he's the guy who made West Virginia nationally relevant?

Football exists outside the Big 10, you should check it out some time.

RichRod is a damn good football coach. It was a clash of styles and support at Michigan. Very bad fit. Pac 12 is in his wheelhouse stylistically.

RichRod is a good coach. His downfall at Michigan was his stubborness on the defensive side of the football. His spread offense was very successful in the Big 10. The 3-3-5 might be the worst defensive alignment possible to install in the Big 10.

I was (pleasantly) surprised to see Bill Snyder at #3. It seems like he is always under ranked in lists like this.

I don't think RichRod was helped out much at Michigan when he didn't ever get the support from boosters and fans from the beginning because he wasn't a "Michigan Man." RichRod is a great coach and I bet if he was given more time at Michigan he would have got the job done. Just needed a new D-Coordinator and Michigan's full support and he would have been set.

Gee,thanks for the heads up. Don't know his defensive statistics from West Virginia, but he is god-awful on his time in the Big Ten. And I guess we'll wait and see how he pans out in the Pac-12. Still not that impressed, but time will tell.

Who the hell cares what his defensive statistics were at West Virginia. The guy won games year in and year out there. Hell they were 1 game away from playing in the National Title in 2007.

Defense and 3 yard passes win championships...didn't you know that? Why else do you think the B1G has won so many national titles in the last 10 years...

So by your reasoning, because he did well in the past he's a good coach, but because Kirk Ferentz did well in the past, he's a lousy coach? Got it. Having some lousy years in between for him is different than Iowa. Sounds logical.

I actually never said Kirk is a lousy coach. I dare you to find where I said that.

I'll say it. One top 20 finish since 2004. All while being paid like a top 10 coach. Not the sign of a good coach.

Fair enough-my original point is that the poll presented was a poor example of the best coaches in the country by ranking-and by voicing an opinion, I get accused of being "butt-hurt",blah, blah, by the lunatic fringe on here. Just amazed by ANYONE trying to have a conversation here without being ridiculed in some form. A good example right here. No offense to you.. And I could care less, believe me. Just interesting to note...pure entertainment when bored, thats it.
