Let's talk about reuben sandwiches

I like me a good reuben. I don't think I've had one in Iowa that's the gold standard, but the sandwich I got at the Scott Street Pub in Council Bluffs once was pretty decent. I've heard about something called the reuben pizza in Iowa, too, that I'd probably try if the opportunity presented itself.

So where is the best reuben in Iowa?

Love reubens. I tried the Arby's one when it came out and it was awful. The reuben pizza can be bought at blackmarket pizza in ames I believe.

Black market pizza in Ames has a Ruben pizza. Love their pizza although never have tried the Ruben. They were on man vs food a year or two back.

On the contrary, Janny....if God didn't want cabbage fermented, he wouldn't have put the necessary organisms right there together. You don't have to add anything to the cabbage to ferment it, the yeast/bacteria right in the head already will do it...just some salt to keep the nasties away...I'm going to have to head to the basement to make sure my home made stuff isn't offended by your mean words.

I love a good Reuben, but they are so hit and miss, I hate to order them. I don't know if I've ever had a good one in DM.
