Tom O'Neil, called a foul on Texas Tech against Texas with 3 seconds to go. It was a bad call and the announcers if said so, it sent the game into overtime which Texas ended up winning. What is it with this guy, it probally put Texas into the NIT. First he protects Kansas, and now Texas, I wonder what the BIG 12 is paying him. :skeptical:

He also got into it with a Tech assistant after that. Keep it classy, Tom

I was walking into the living room right as he started yelling at the assistant.

I think it's about time for old Tom to get his walking papers from the big 12. The B1G and SEC were smart enough to get rid of him why do we have to deal with his idiocy.

yeah, this guy has to go, one of these refs that think 15K people show up to watch him ref the game. he needs to retire, guys like that are bad for the game

I agree with everyone else in this thread that his days reffing Big 12 games need to be over. He's made multiple, questionable at best, game changing calls that have favored the "big names" in the conference. Even if it is coincidence, the Big 12 can't afford the image that games are fixed for the have beens.

can't believe I missed this. Wasn't he supposed to be limited in the amount of games he does? I doubt this will make any major newcasts. Was this the second game on channel 5?

The call at the end of regulation was lousy enough, but to be yelling in an assistant's face and putting his finger towards his chest in unacceptable. Hats off to Chris Walker and the Tech assistant for not getting ejected at that point.

Is there a way to determine what type of penalty he received for the last bad call? It doesnt sound like it was too severe if he is back on the court this soon. Did he miss any games at all?

This guy could get possessed, gnaw off his own wiener and then snap his own neck - yet I'd still wonder if that was punishment enough.

I'd say all the coaches in the Big 12 who don't coach Kansas or Texas should all go to the front office and demand Tom O'neil's "resignation"

I think Fred basically said that clown will not be doing any more ISU games or else. Now the rest of the conference will have to put up with him.
