Statement

Conference barely acknowledges anything by just saying 'there were errors'. KU fans can go 'well there were errors that went ISU's way too' (like they already have done)

The #Big12 acknowledges that officiating errors were made at the end of regulation during last night’s Kansas at Iowa State game. The plays have been reviewed and appropriate measures will be taken by the Coordinator of Men’s Basketball Officials to adjust the number of future assignments for the two officials involved in conjunction with Conference policies.

Gotta love the conference's use of the passive voice to deflect blame. They should use the officials' names so that there is no doubt who is at fault. Accountability...sigh

Wilbon and Kornheiser just both agreed we got "completely hosed". In the words of Kornheiser, "that is a charge 100 out of 100 times."

I for one never want to see either of them officiate a conference game ever again. Big Monday, and epic game, a tremendous showcase for the conference, all tainted by a call a HS or even JV ref wouldn't have screwed up. It's a huge black eye for the conference and makes the conference look bush league and second rate. If they get another gig in the Big 12 then the fix is in for sure.

Honestly I am getting tied of this conference and all the ******** that goes on, thanks for a useless ******* statement Big Twelve. Go kiss KU's *** a little more. Hold them accountable, whatever happened to that nowadays?

About as much as you could expect from the league. Doesn't change anything but they at least acknowledged something was wrong last night. It's more than most fans get in these situations. Still sucks though.

I know how the NCAA Selection Committee will make a decision after noticing this loss:They'll say, "Heck, let's screw the clones out of a berth, even though they deserve it"

For those of you commenting about how the NCAA committee could view this game now...

I don't think this effects ISU as much as it effects KU. A road win in Ames looks great for KU trying to justify itself as a #1 seed especially with the loss @ TCU. This win should now mean nothing to bolster their resume for a #1 seed. Just like the loss should mean nothing to hurt our resume.

if Tom Oneil ever sets foot inside hilton again I am going to be irate, we simply cannot allow this man near any more of our games. To have a great game like that ruined by this son of a *****...it just makes me sick

freddy's becoming a bit of a media darling, so i wonder if that's part of the reason this game's getting so much attention.

Having been an official(high school) and having made mistakes, a GOOD crew would get together and talk it overand get all views, before making a call. If it was not correctible, I would go to the coach and admit I made a mistake. Some coaches wouldn't like it, but the rest would respect the candor. These officials should be men enough to do that or QUIT!:angry6wn:

No way they were ever getting a one seed after TCU.

I'm just wondering what was going through the refs mind? What are you looking at and how do you justify this?

With 4.9 seconds left, you would think a group huddle would have been about a minute to make sure. You know, these three have been working games in MWC and MVC. They also did the Iowa ISU game in Dec.
