***Official 2013 Bracketology Thread***

I could actually see it happening.

at Wisconsin L
Northwestern W
at Penn State W
Minnesota L
at Nebraska W
Purdue W
at Indiana L
Illinois W
Nebraska W

Even so, 7-2 might not be enough to get Iowa into the tournament, unless it involves wins at Wisconsin/vs. Minnesota, and at Indiana.

They'll beat Minnesota at home and could beat Wisconsin on the road. 7-2 looks very possible with that schedule.

Do you think because of Baylor messing up that they might not make the ncaa tournment/

It wouldn't surprise me if one of the BIg 12 "middle" teams -- Baylor, Iowa State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State -- eventually missed the tourney. If I had to bet, it would be Oklahoma. I think Baylor will make it.

I suspect he is right.

I'll never understand the discussion of matchups based on bracketology at this point of the year. I understand the "will we get in?" discussion but not the "who we might play" discussion.

I agree. I didn't read too much into who he has us facing at this point.
Might as well look at all the 7 seeds.

For that matter, I don't think a lot of bracketologists care about taking the time to make sure their brackets follow all the matchup rules at this time of the year. Lunardi's usually pretty good about it, though.

So with us getting a win Saturday (I'm confident...so sue me) what seed do we move up to? 7? 6?

I think 7 sounds reasonable only because that Tech loss will still have some lingering stench. Sure be nice to have a sweep of a top 15 ranked team.
Think he bumps us up to 8 at the highest. Still need a road win to get into the 6/7 range.
Beating KState would probably do it.

Just reopen that link and look at it so you can see Memphis above ISU and UK below ISU. Look at the breakdown of games vs. various RPI's. Why is ISU in the same conversation with those two teams???

Stick a fork in Witchita State. They lost to Southern Illinois, their second conference win. Looks like Creighton may be it from MVC. Indiana State has 8 losses.

Jerry Palm is an idiot but I do think ISU may be in some trouble if the Cyclones go 0-3 with the only three big road games left - @ KSU, @ BU, and @ OU. Have to win at LEAST one.

I hope that isn't the bracket. Playing Mizzou again would be kinda fun but playing Michigan in Auburn Hills sounds pretty bad.

On bracket matrix, a lot of 9 and 10 seeds. 2 have ISU as a 7.

I'd love a crack Mizzou. Their good players are gone. And even though it would be another Michigan team in Ann Arbor, what is scary about Michigan, hardaway's kid, just put Babb on him and it's shutdown city.
