***Official ISU vs OSU Postgame thread***

Boys your not gonna win on the road when you play eight against five.

With a four point lead late in the game the refs had to go to work or else okie state has a sure loss at h ome and that just wont do in the usually crooked big 12 conference.

Unless you kansas your not gonna win on the road.....

Officiating was not great down the stretch, but the refs didn't lose us that game. We had out chance to make plays and we didn't. Top 6 teams will get into the tourney, so as long as we hold home court and beat who we should we will be in.

IMO.. Hate to say it but I have to chalk this one up to Freddie losing it for us.. Because why would we not foul them when they got the ball with 25 sec left.. That way we get the ball back with 20+ sec left to run an actual play...

Ya know I had the same kind of everything went wrong type of day as when we lost to tech, and I remember saying about 3 o'clock while working on my busted snowblower that this gonna be a lose, just to similar to my tech day.

It is truly the 8th wonder of the world how snake bitten we are in this type of stuff.

Honestly, is there any other school this tortured?

On to the next one I guess....

Please. The refs had a huge impact on that game. Just because you could be better doesnt mean the refs didnt also have a strong effect.

The reffing could have been worse - they could have let Okie St drain a 3-pointer sandwiched between two ISU free throws...

If ISU doesn't turn the ball over nearly as many times as it did, the reffing probably isn't an issue. That being said, that reffing was a crock full of ****.

I really do hope someone sends a tape to the Big 12 for review regarding the officiating.

Here's the thing that gets me...normally the longer people spend doing their job, the better they get at doing said job. It's not like that with Big 12 officials, or maybe even just officials in general for every conference. Steed and Higgins have been mediocre for a long time now. If I was as incompetent at my job as Paul Janssen is at his job of officiating I would have been fired 5 times over by now. Can anyone remember seeing a college basketball official under 40 lately? We really need some new blood in the officiating crews.

To win on the road you have to eliminate the refs. We shouldn't be surprised calls went against us on the road. We she to execute better to keep the stripes out of it.

Oh well, keep winning the ones we need to win and we'll get to the tourney.

I hate to say it, but would you be willing to leave and go be a hawk fan? That would probably end up being a win-win for the rest of us then.

Either that or stop having ****** days.

You think the Big12 will get six teams in?

And the foul on Babb was the 7th. Both neither had possession. Over the back is always a shooting foul. That was not a player control foul.

You don't shoot free throws on a player control foul or a team control foul. You have to have possession of the ball to commit a player control foul. They must have ruled that OSU had "team control" when he threw the ball up for grabs like that.

As for the Clyburn bull **** foul and following free throws, there is no "team control" in a rebounding situation.

bull ****

Come on now. We had some calls go our way too. The calls down the stretch were iffy, but I think your missing the point. We make shots and guard in the last 5 minutes and we win.
