***MLB Postseason Thread***

I'm surprised no one is really talking about the A's and the nothing-short-of-incredible run they've made. They were 13 games back in mid-season and today will play to WIN THE AL WEST. If they beat Texas today in Oakland at 2:30, they will overtake the Rangers to claim the West by a single game. That's just nuts. No one has a better record since the break than Oakland.

I would love to see another Bay Bridge Series this year. Just no earthquake! While I'm realistic about the odds of making it all the way back there after winning it two years ago, I'm optimistic since the Giants have played lights out on the road for the last two months and finally figured out how to win at home again.

Regardless, it's going to be a fun post-season this year. Can't wait to get started!

Just for fun...
Dream World Series: Giants - A's
Nightmare World Series: Braves - Yankees

Oh it isn't going unnoticed for me. My uncle was a HUGE A's fan (also a big Giants fan for his wife). He died in the middle of June. Can't help but think he's watching this run by them. It's awesome.

That Giants - A's series would be awesome.

Ya I know its not going to be easy. Have they set a time yet for the game?

I don't think they will know until the AL is set. The location of that game is still up in the air. If Baltimore wins they will have a home game, but not sure what happens if they tie with Oakland or Texas.

Very sad that he's not here to watch his team do what they've done since July. He'd be having the time of his life!

Effin' A, A's. That was awesome.

quite an *** whooping..

as long as the orioles lose the yankees get a 1 seed tonight..not happy that the Rangers and Yankees might face off in the ALDS/play-in game but it is what it is.

nvm, I see that if we lose and Baltimore wins, the winner of the game Thursday is the 2 seed and the loser is the 5 seed.

I think Washington won today so they are the 1 seed in the NL...good matchup for the braves-cards winner.

So the Nats own that tie breaker? I haven't seen.

Went to Bdubs so I could watch the whole thing. GREAT game (unless you're a Rangers fan)!! They got down 5-1, then scored 11 unanswered runs to win 12-5.

Oakland became the first division winner to ever come back from 5 games down with 9 games to play. Today is also the only day they have been alone in 1st place all season. Hope they didn't use all their oomph getting the AL West title. More to do...
