Cyclone in jail

It's from Ronald Reagan if youre talking about the 21 drinking age.

I'm not being political, it's just factually inaccurate to say the drinking age is a law from the 1920s.

I've often wondered if Ames/Story county law enforcement put out bounties for ISU athletes like they were trophies, aka, NFL bouties, NA - Does anyone know if he was issued just a ticket or was there some type of altercation. Certainly the officer wouldn't of made any antagonistic comments knowing he was an ISU player. NA -

Keep in mind this was a long time ago (Walden) but when I was a walk-on, we had a team meeting during two-a-days that included police representatives, and they talked to us for an hour about places and situations to avoid. That doesn't sound like the kind of behavior of an organization on an ISU athlete witchhunt.

I believe this was my bye week prediction: Football player gets arrested. Some things never change

Did this too when I was playing under DMAC

But by the same time, the puritanical drinking laws that exist in a lot of states, and to some level the Federal government, are holdovers form the Prohibition Movement.

The "no more fun of any kind" mindset is still alive and well in this country.

About 6 years ago, a girl was killed in an accident caused by a minor that had been provided beer. The occupants of the apartment were charged with providing beer to a minor.
I worked with one of the people charged.
He sometimes had problems with good judgment; don’t we all. But the accident seriously f**d his life up. He was facing prison, legal bills, probation, and there was a civil suit. I don’t remember what the judgment was, the price of a car IIRC. He wasn’t a bad guy; I rather liked him. But what he did is what happens on a regular basis without consequences.
But for the grace of god, there go I. Providing alcohol to a minor is seriously stupid, a little like walking carefully on thin ice, and needn’t be tolerated just because we have a drinking culture.

One time I heard about a teacher providing scissors to a kid under the age of 21 and he cut off his finger by accident. I know we live in an artsy culture but we need to regulate the age at which kids are allowed to use scissors cause one kid ****ed up. I think if we give kids that are under the age of 21 and in possession of scissors a 400$ fine we will protect everyone. This is of course for the benefit of society and not to make more money for the state.

That sounds like the kind of behavior that an organization on an ISU athlete witchhunt would engage in if they didn't want you to know that they were on an ISU athlete witchhunt.

Why the heck did he get taken to jail for that? Shouldn't it have just been a ticket if anything at all? The article doesn't mention any other charges that would merit getting booked.
