An MRI confirms that Iowa State commit Jordan Jensen (2013-AZ) has torn her ACL. Injury occurred while playing with the AZ Warriors at EOT.

She might be able to play during some of her senior season. I think six months is typical, although it can vary from 3 to 9 months. She might be able to play a month or two at the end of the season, but a lot of that probably depends on the nature of the tear.

6 month recovery on a torn ACL would be remarkable. If she was a professional athlete and could get constant treatment it'd be one thing but you're more likely looking 9 months to a year.

It varies a lot. Erica Junod played in an ISU WBB game three months to the day after she had her ACL surgery. That was unusually short, of course.

Granted, I should have said 6-12 months, not 3-9 months. That was a bit optimistic. And sometimes it takes longer. Toccara Ross tore her ACL in Dec 07 and she still wasn't the same in 08-09.

As rb can testify, because Emiah had a teammate that went through it, even if she is ready to come back before the end of the season, BF may not want her playing. Emiah's teammate is going to UNI, and they apparently didn't want her pushing it. She basically played about a quarter on senior night.

You are absolutely right Royal Clone, and If I'm BF if her team isnt state championship calibur, there would be no playing, It would be time to move on time. Not worth the risk with a HS team that isnt good. Play some on Senior night, and shut it down!!

Stinks for Jordan. Thankfully, with ACL injuries, we are now talking about "how long until she is able to play nex"t not "if she can ever play again".
