I need to start going to gymnastics meets...

Holy buckets! Some of the poses are interesting to say the least. :wideeyed:

Back in the mid-80's I went to the ISU Basketball camp several summers. We played in the women's rec building where the gymnasts were. During breaks in the action you would see a few dozen young male teens standing in front of the gymnast' door just staring wide-eyed at the girls practicing. It was hilarious, then when one of the girls would walk out you would see this walkway of young males making room for the cute gymnast.

I have a gymnastics question that maybe somebody can help me with. Will Shawn Johnson from West Des Moines just go and do the Olympics and other events that would make her a professional? I assume that the Olympic gymnasts don't do college but I wasn't sure. It would be nice if she could go to ISU and win everything in a couple of years.

The Gymnastics coach was on the call in show on day and was asked that question and the answer was no she cannot compete or even practice for ISU. I dont remember the reason. Maybe the samething as that Colorado FB player that couldnt play and be on the USA ski team.

I don't mean to brag, but I was good friends with a few of them through highscool. A couple were captains during there time at ISU.

I don't mean to brag either, but I married one that was a captain on the pom squad during her time at ISU :)

Ok, so I do mean to brag.

My turn to "not mean to brag", but when I was in school I "dated" (and by dated I mean lived next to two ISU gymnasts and had a few overnights with one of them). Let me tell you that she was built like a brick ****house. Needless to say I let her have her way with me a few times.

I also dated a football/bball cheersquad member.

Now I'm 36 and can only reflect on the good ol' days!

Why?? Did you end up marrying a Hawkeye??

Would some of the ladies on the board like to have a good conversation about some of the male athletes? Cory Johnson, anyone?

I swear it turns into a locker room around here sometimes.

oh yeah-well i had class with a wbb player that was taller then i am(i'm 6'4") and she talked to me once. take that:wacko:

My wife graduated from high school (Williston, ND) with Corey Ihmels (head track and cross country coach), then had several classes with Angie Welle when seh went back for her second degree.
