Why is ISU starting a freshman QB? Might be a good place to start asking questions.
Maybe the receiver corps is "underachieving" because the scheme they are running doesn't provide them the opportunity to "achieve".
Set it back to where? ISU is already at the bottom of the Big 12.
The offense needs to score more points. If it takes a new OC to get that done, then so be it.

heard the inside info on herman and found this on a search.
it's funny how we are the CyClowns and now all of my OSU people are GUSHING over their diamond in the rough....
Now all of a sudden the Cyclones are an offensive powerhouse and Herman is a genius. (really, they're saying he is in MENSA)

He actually is in MENSA. It was huge here when we hired him.

Loney was a pro-style guy, not a spread guy. He was also an o-line coach and developed some GREAT offensive lines while he was here. He had two terms at ISU as OL/OC, first with Troy Davis from 95 - 97 (left to go to U of Minnesota), and again from 2000 - 2001 (left to go to the Vikings). He's been in the NFL as a OL/OC ever since, except for 2007 when he served as Drakes interim HC.

For the Big 12, the offense is not doing "very well" yardage wise . ISU was 8/10 this year.

We were a better offense then than we are now, incorporate the zone read into that offense and it could be explosive.

Pete was here for one season, replacing Loney for the '99 season after he left for Minnesota the first time.
