Did you go to Shreveport? I went both times and had a great time. Missouri is playing North Carolina down there. Better. Won't go to New York. Just how it is.
 
Everyone who is complaining about New York needs to suck it up. A bowl game is better than no bowl game, support the players for even getting a bowl game. Pretty pathetic some of you people are.

Didn't go. Heard a lot of horror stories though. I assumed it's a dump off of first hand accounts I heard. I'm sure some people enjoyed it.

The point was not that Shreveport is the crappiest place on the earth, it's that there is a much worse possibility out there than NYC. Such as, not going.
 
Shreveport probably would have helped with recruiting more than NYC. NYC will do nothing for recruiting at all.

But hey... we're going bowling. And as I've said... we really couldn't expect anything much better with being 6-6. 6-6 teams shouldn't even get to go to a bowl if you ask me. 3-6 in your conference is nothing to shout home about. WE ARE LUCKY.
 
There were very few places I would have went this year. NY is expensive but so was San Diego and San Francisco. For our record, this is about as good as it gets.

Shreveport is a dump and imo the crappiest place on earth. I played in the first Independence Bowl in 2001 and it sucked down there. Other than Casinos there is nothing to do. I will never go back to that town.

Are you dropping the $1000+ its going to cost to go to a bowl game? If not, stfu.

So I assume you think at 6-6 we deserved to go to the Holiday Bowl, right? I'll have some of what you're smoking. I was hoping we'd make it to the Holiday too, but how can we seriously have expected anything better than the Pinstripe. All those Big 12 teams I mentioned rolled us pretty good. We had a great win against an OSU team that was in a funk. That's great. But we had some horrible losses in there too. And TT was NOT a good win... not anymore.... they finished worse than us. So as much as I wanted us to get picked ahead of some of the other Big 12 schools, we didn't deserve to be. It's the BCS that's screwed up. How the Big 12, easily one of the two toughest conferences in football this year didn't get 2 teams in the BCS is a joke. The Big 12 gets screwed over again. Only because K-State won't travel well I'm guessing?

K-State travels well. They just got screwed for an average Michigan team.

Id wayyyy rather go to Shreveport. Even if it cost more.

You said you weren't going to a bowl game regardless. So STFU is right.
 
How do we go about buying tickets...just looked at the website and there are lots and lots of tickets gone. Does ISU get a block and we buy from them or should we just guess what side of the field will be ISU and buy now?

never had to do this before...don't want to miss getting a decent ticket.

Are you serious? I was down there in 2001 and had a ton of fun and none of it had to do with casino's. I guess I'm easily entertained.
