this is not a true false test -- it is multiple choice -- I suggest you figure that out quickly or you will look even more ridiculous.
Build it back up with what? Mountain West teams? That sounds terrible to me.
I personally believe alot of things are going on behind closed doors with the forgotten 5. They built the foundation and "contingency" plan last year, the new Big 12 contract is in place and with FOX officials calling the shots I fully believe the Big 12 continues.
Because at least two of them will likely have better options available than a crappy remodeled Big 12.
I agree, the forgotten 5 have a contingency plan in place, that we know for sure. I guess we can validate one of his assertions by checking flight tracker for Baylor and ISU and whether they are headed to KC.
What's ridiculous is a person calling out nobodys who spout off worthless information while he himself is a nobody spouting off worthless information.

A new Big 12 would have some good teams because of the FOX deal. Very good read that was posted in another blog. You add BYU, Louisville, Pitt, WV, TCU and Cincy that is already a better league than the Big East and ACC.

I'd say they'd retain AQ status until at least the status is up for review which is 2013 or something like that?
Thats a good short term deal but I don't think that Fox would renew the deal down the road with that new Big 12 setup.
It'd be funny if a rebuilt Big XII continues to have a larger Tier 2 contract than Tier 1 even after a new contract is signed in 2016.
13 years is short term? A lot of things can happen between now and then and Texas will have destroyed another league.
By then i think at least one of the 16 team conferences will have imploded if they go to 16. Its just not a good model for a conference structure. Best to just keep things at 8-12 teams, even better at 8-10
I agree with this, and don't understand the super conferences outside of a tournament system.
