Miller and Deace will be talking expansion very soon on KXNO. Give it a listen and I'm sure we'll know everything.

Baylor to join the Big 8.

Baylor regents give OK to Big Eight move 02/24/1994 | Archives | Chron.com - Houston Chronicle

Interesting article considering the shoe is on the other foot almost 20 years later. Also, SIAP, this thread is almost impossible to keep up on.

I wouldnt say the shoe is on the other foot so much. Then as with now they really dont have much choice in the matter. They could get on texas\tamu's bandwagon, or relegate themselves to obscurity in another conference. Similar situation to Okie State right now, who is just going to follow OU's lead.

Keep flexing Oklahoma you're starting to look like this:

Genius - the Pac 12 using a Wells Fargo plane so they can stave off a public meltdown when negotiating ISU's admittance into the conference...:jimlad:

Gotta be optimistic.

It does have to be slightly odd for a private jet to fly from Oakland to Ames, though.

OU publically praised ISU and their administration for being honest and great to work with, maybe they are pulling for us a little. Doubtful but a little optimism never hurts.

It's been said a lot, but whatever happens, I'm glad GG and JP are the ones we have here with this happening....and that GG is still in charge when this year's edition of conferenceamageddon has gone down.

I'm not sure that this plane is actually used for WF business. If you click on the link, "WELLS FARGO BANK NORTHWEST NA TRUSTEE" is listed as the owner for 2,849 planes - from Pipers to Learjets to Airbus...and I'm fairly certain WF doesn't own that many planes, or an Airbus. WF is probably the owner of the deed?

WF provides commercial leasing of aircraft. It would appear that this would be case for this airplane...

Why is this plane arriving in Ames from Oakland? Two possibilities...Pac12 is talking to us, or Wells Fargo visiting the Ames branch (but why would they spend that kind of money to visit one branch in Ames??)

FlightAware > N1127M

:wideeyed:

This just seems all very odd...

No planes coming or going from Ames for days, then a privately leased jet is scheduled to arrive tonight from the closest airport to Pac 12 headquarters. Certainly the Pac12 wouldn't consider us...would they???

PLEASE PAC12 CONSIDER US! We will love you long time and give you happy ending. No charge.

Jon Miller (yes, I broke down and I'm listening today) is obviously high on lsd, angel dust, and meth right now. Texas, ND, Missouri and ISU to Big Ten theory???

Only way I could see this is if the Pac-12 said we only want 1 school per state coming in.

OU + KU + ISU + TU

That would leave OSU + TTU + KSU to Big East & MU to SEC

There's your wild prediction from me today. Tweet it away.

:twitcy:

As long as we are getting mentioned on the radio, TV, newspapers, and on the internet I'm ok with it.

My twitter account is broken from all the fallacies that I have typed.

He was referencing a poster on a Northwestern message board who he said knew some information last year that shouldn't have been public. FWIW
