It was said prevously that if we didn't disband, we would probably keep tv contracts in place, split less ways. So why would we vote to dissolve the big 12 again boomer? Only if a new contract for tier one was granted with equal sharing, I don't see that happening if we lost three teams.

I still don't see why any of the SEC would want to add A&M. It is all not rational.

A&M is good in football, adds TX TV's to the equation, and instantly becomes the 2nd smartest fan base in the SEC.

OU adds football...and a fan base that makes everyone living in the PAC12 TV footprint feel smart. Even people who don't like football like to think they're smart and well educated. Compared to OU fans they'll see on TV every Saturday they are...huge TV draw right there.

4195 is a guy with one post to his name, and 4216 uses the old logo..... Plus just look up at 4151 and you will see the same graphic with UNLV and Hawaii instead of ISU and Mizzou. I have no reason to believe there is anything to this.

Yes. At the end of the day, academics and success in non-revenue sports don't count for anything. Although I have come around to realize that in the Big 10, they wouldn't take Okla St or Texas Tech because of academics. Nevertheless, it comes down to TV sets for football at the end of the day. Period.

I say if those three teams leave then the remaining members should stay together form a new conference and fire Dan Beebe. It amazes me the high horse some teams put themselves on, instead you should be concerned about the student athlete when it comes to A LOT of travel. Instead it is all about the money which I see both sides to it to a point, I just want us in a stable conference with AQ status and if this is how it plays out then I am all for it.

Question for anyone who knows:

Who all makes up a university Board of Regents? Apparently these are the people putting the pressure on guys like Boren and Loftin to get out of the Big 12. Who are these people deciding the future of college football along with the TV execs?

Thanks! Let's see, we have a

Yep. There you have some of the dudes who are deciding to set the dominoes in place to make their own students flying half way across the country to miss class and deciding to blow up 100 year old rivalries in the name of the almighty dollar.

No post in 10 minutes with rumors out there that aTm is now official. What is wrong with CF?

Miller and Brinson saying A&M officially in the $EC. Can't find any link supporting it and where they got it, but not surprising.

SEC commish talks about A&M a few hours after the Oklahoma president talks about money and academics. You read the tea leaves.

And why is theater guy on the board?

Mr. Weitzenhoffer has been actively involved with The University of Oklahoma on several levels including major financial gifts to the Athletic Department, the College of Fine Arts, Schools of Drama and Art as well as helping create the Department of Musical Theatre which bears his name. Most recently he gave the Fred Jones Art Museum his family's prestigious Impressionist Art Collection.
