Boren can go **** himself if that's the case. Nobody would be holding out their option to sue if the conference were going to stick together after TAMU leaving, and that is ALL on Boren and OU. Before they started talking about leaving it looked like BYU was almost a done deal (as it continues to look if OU stays).

While I want all Big 12 teams to realize the benefits and stick together, I think it's time to suggest we do this thing and get it over with, no matter the result. It's wearing me out.:realmad:

Fact? From what I have read we don't know this...

You are right. I am just speculating. But think about it. ISU brings great academics. A football team that might draw close to a 50,000 average for its home games. A MBB team that will draw about 13,000 or so fans average for home games. A WBB that will rank in the top 10 in the nation for attendance. A Wrestling team that draws well and is nationally ranked. And a Women's VB team that is nationally ranked as well. ISU athletics are on the rise.

The Big East would be absolutely foolish to pass on a team like ISU. They have far weaker programs in their conference right now. What other teams do you think the Big East would be in the running for?

The speculation that C-USA is the destination for ISU if the Big 12 folds is just as speculative as MO that the Big East would be the destination. All of it is just guessing.

If true then I have no respect for Boren.

The only reason to take this action is because Oklahoma will be in a similar pickle as A & M.

What about the agreement to stick together for the next ten years? It appears A&M an OU have no problem breaking that agreement. What a hypocrite if true.

I'm going to pretend the Boren-Baylor War story has credibility, just for discussion's sake.

If we as a conference allowed such a thing to happen to a school that stood up for itself, we're immediately back to the point where we are waiting to explode. That move really doesn't create stability. It just strokes Boren's ego.

I found this to be a pretty good read. Scroll about halfway down to the heading "It all begins to fall apart..." It has a bit of Texas bias, but it brings up some good facts while ACTUALLY citing sources about this reallignment bs (something most "journalists" seem to have forgotten about).

That is the dumbest thing I've ever read. And Baylor hasn't sued anybody.
