Hp Touchpad Firesale

Re: Any inside info on when Best Buy in Ames gets shipment of HP TP's?

a guy on the forums for sd said to find a newbie and ask them to look up the sku without mentioning touchpad at all. Try to look over the shoulder and see how much stock there is. If there is some, then the employees are hoarding and arent allowed to do that.

I only going to see if onsale through amazon comes through- then, when they credit my card the money back, I will go on the hunt.

Did any of you all who ordered through OnSale ever hear back one way or the other?

still waiting. i guess there is a rumor if you got one day shipping you have a glimmer of hope but that is just speculation.

I have one day shipping and still have shipping soon. my delivery date is tomorrow.

its just speculation think about it this way they havent cancelled your order yet. when is ur delivery date

If they want to avoid hassle from Amazon they will need to have all of the statuses on Amazon updated tonight, as that is when everyone (or at least a majority) can start filing claims against them. I'm still sticking with the idea that the longer I don't get a cancel the better off I am, but I'm still definitely not counting on getting any of my orders.

just saw this on Onsale shoppgirls facebook page.

"Just Called OnSale: Rep says that if you bought Saturday, you should be good. If you bought Sunday, your odds are at 50/50. No luck for Monday. Also, better chance of getting a 32GB than 16GB. He said they don't know how much they sold because Amazon didn't put a limit on the quantity but OnSale had a limit on their website of 1 Per Customer. Expect Email within today or tomorrow. *Crossing Fingers* "

im hanging onto everything here

That was posted early yesterday originally... They were never on sale though on Saturday, they didn't drop the price to $99 until Sunday afternoon. The limit of 1 has been disputed back and forth, supposedly the limit is actually going to be 2 per order...

As far as shipping is concerned, they are still swearing by first come, first serve; so those that ordered overnight or 2-day will obviously get theirs before us that went standard shipping. However, choosing overnight or 2-day did not put you ahead of those that went standard. It would just be nice for them to at least cancel the ones that are going to be cancelled though...

well i'm on hold with the HP Small Business line, trying to check the status of two touchpads that have a scheduled delivery day of today. Right off the bat, the message says any orders after 4:00 AM Monday will be cancelled, all other will try to be filled. we'll see.

I just got thru to HP SMB where I had my order in. The guy said my order would be fufilled and just to wait. And yeah, they have a message about a cutoff. Sounds like people on Sat are good and maybe Sun too. I ordered on Sat so should be OK. He confirmed name/address too so I feel lots better. He seemed to indicate that it might be a week or more before the backorders are filled so just an FYI we might be waiting awhile.

Posted on Onsales Facebook, guessing I get cancelled, the only issue I have with this whole thing is they showed up on Amazon after the craze was fully known, but they are far from the only retailer that had problems so be it.

Update About HP Touch Pads

by onSale on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at 6:17pm

Dear Customers,

This is Robert Rich, President of OnSale. We appreciate your patience and apologize to our customers for any inconvenience related to unfulfilled orders for HP Touch Pads.

As a result of an unintended and unprecedented event, the dramatic price reduction in the discontinued HP Touch Pad which occurred over this past weekend, we received orders so quickly over a couple of hour period on Sunday that we were not able to properly process all of these orders.

At this time, we regret that we have determined we will not have sufficient clarity in a timely manner regarding additional availability of product to allow us to fill remaining unfulfilled orders. Unfortunately as a result, we are now cancelling unfulfilled orders and expect this process to be completed shortly. Customers whose orders are being canceled will receive a cancelation notice via e-mail. No credit cards have been charged for any unfulfilled orders.

Again, we are truly sorry for any inconvenience to customers and please accept our sincere apologies.

How long has it taken you to get through to HP SMB? I've spent over 7 1/2 hours on hold over the last couple days, including a 3 hour session that is still underway. I've tried at least three different numbers, and they all end up in the same place. It's getting a little frustrating that there is no better way to contact them, and the shopping cart keeps disappearing. Hard to believe a company this large can't so better than this.

I hung up at 1 hr and 11 minutes tonight. Not worth it.

Meh, most of the time my phone has been sitting on a quiet speakerphone level on my desk while I'm working, so it's been mostly painless. At this point, I can't bring myself to hang up. I just want to know if anyone will ever answer....
