He was previously offered a tryout from the Giants. But this Vikings deal is sweet. A-Rob is from there remember.

So he signed a deal? Or is just trying out for them just like he would have with the Giants?

The owners were actually worried about this, bringing in players to sign and not being able to actually sign them until Friday. Look at it as recuiting. You get a verbal and you don't know 100% if they will sign with you until a certain date. I.e. some jump ship for a better opportunity. Pry what A-Rob was thinking?

Either way, good for him!

Exactly. I will root for A-Rob to get a chance to show what he can do and then work himself into a position to get a contract offer from the Chiefs. I could NEVER make myself root for the Vikings though.

Great news. As someone else asked, is he signed, or was he asked to try out like with the Giants? I think Robinson could have a future as a third down back in the NFL, and the Vikings need one of those right now.
