TV for ISU game eastern Iowa Mediacom???

A few weeks back they played the Kansas/Kansas State game on Comcast channel 27. That was a fox broadcast. Just hoping it would be the same.

I'm not sure eastern Iowa has the same FSN channels central or western Iowa does

A couple years ago I was in Dbq during the KU game - the game we blew for the north crown. I believe that game was on FSN as well, but mediacom in Dbq had to simulcast it, because the FSN package they had didn't carry the game.

Long story - short, I was on the phone looking for the game. The lady kept telling me channel X. I told her channel X had the home shopping network on. She kept assuring me it didn't. ::err:: "Ok, I'm making it up...."

Went to a sports bar with satellite. My dad called about half way through the second quarter and said it was finally on.

My advice, call mediacom. Don't necessarily believe them and have plan B (satellite) ready.

FSN Midwest, FSN North, FSN Wisconsin, and Comcast Chicago will all have the game live. I assume you get one of those.

Eastern Iowa doesn't get any Fox Sports Net channels. They get Comcast Sports Net instead so they can get the Cubs games. Comcast Sports Net sometimes carries FSN programming. So the game might show up there, but I wouldn't count on it.

Edit. The Shadow is right, it will be on Comcast Sports Net in Eastern Iowa. Channel 44 I think.

Welcome to Comcast SportsNet

Thanks I get comcast on my cable. Just hope they don't look to horrible. I would be there but the wife is at a scrap booking retreat this weekend! I have to take care of our 2 children.:realmad:

Eastern Iowa does get FSN channels. The Texas-ISU game was on FCSP (pacific). This one might be on either FCSP or FCSC (Central). Watch the channels periodically, they will show a listing in between commercials.

Just to clear up some confusion -- the game is being shown on Comcast Sports Chicago as EVERY FSN Saturday afternoon football game is. So, if you subscribe to Mediacom, Dish Network, or DirecTV in eastern Iowa, you'll get the game. No sports packs needed.

Just tune into Comcast Sports Chicago at 11:00 AM for pregame!

What I'm saying is the last game was on FCSP, and cyclones.com said the game will be televised by Fox Sports Network then. It says the same thing now, so I assume it will be on FCSP again. In Eastern Iowa, you have to pay to get the FCS sports package. I tried looking for the Texas ISU game on Comcast network, maybe this time it will be on there just like the website says it will. I hate to TiVo the game and come back and see nothing recorded on there. I guess I can always try to scroll all the way to 11.30 AM tomorrow in channel listing to see if the game is on for tomorrow - sometime they don't have updated listings until the very last minute on mediacom (hate that~!)

Are you saying that the Texas - ISU games wasn't on Comcast Sports Net? It was. Yes, the game is being televised BY Fox Sports Network but Comcast shows a feed of the game. Believe me. It will be on.

To reassure you, see the weekly clearance report from the Big 12's website. Scroll down to the bottom and you'll see Comcast Sports Chicago listed.

Help me out here. Comcast shows EVERY FSN Saturday afternoon game? Which FSN? There's like 20 FSNs and not all carry the same games.

Been burned on that several times in various locals.

B.S. I live in Davenport, and Fox Sports Atlantic (ch 172), Central (ch 173), and Pacific (174) are all on the sports tier.

As far as that Kansas game a few years back, they played that on the Connections channel. Might not get that this time around considering the "issues" between Mediacom and Fox Sports right now...
