the only problem i had with the last one was the cheesy humor they put in the entire thing... the twins were ridic, and the dog/robot humping has gotten out of control.
same reason star wars has jar jar binks. to get kids interested with the movie. the more people they can please the more money they make.
The scourge of moviemaking today. They assume Americans are SO stupid that they have to insert burp and fart jokes just to make them laugh. Look no further than Jar Jar Binks. I didn't need some idiot running around and tripping over stuff to find the orignal SW movies entertaining back in the 80's. The subtle humor from the droids was enough comic relief for me.
Robots that turn into cars. Do they really need anything else to get kids involved? Throw in a hot girl and you've got the male demographic covered from one year olds to death.
Will this one have a plot?
Hopefully they won't do what they did last time, where they filmed (OK, created with CGI) all the actions scenes and set pieces around the world, then told the writers to come up with a ****** to incorporate the action scenes.

Love how both of you brought up Jar Jar. While I agree that the goal is to add comic relief that will bring in fans, especially kids, I'm not sure a bumbling idiot like Jar Jar is the same thing as robots and dogs humping.
It's a movie about talking robots from outer space that can also transform into cars. Not sure what more you need to draw in children.
I actually liked the last one. Megan Fox won't be in this one though so it will take a huge hit. They better find a suitable replacement.
I've read FanFic from a mongoloid 12-year-old fat kid that had a better narrative than that abortion....and he had pokeball cupcakes transforming into dragons, son...

Maybe they'll use the hot young Australian astro-physicist or whatever from the first movie. Speaking of trying too hard with dumb jokes, the dorky guys are somewhat believable but throwing her in there was so panderingly (not a word) laughable.
So robots attacking major city and having a huge climatic battle. Shia LaBouf and hot girlfriend involved right in the middle of it yet again somehow surviving the carnage. Tyrese and Fergie's husband fighting the robots with ordinary weapons and yet again somehow surviving the carnage. John Turturro around to deliver lame jokes. Gee sounds a lot like the first two
