***Offical ISU vs Drake Game Thread***

well if eligibility doesn't matter, why limit yourself to just Brackins and Wesley? Why not throw in Kelvin Cato or Jared Homan while you're at it? Or shoot, maybe the Mayor himself. He could coach and play.

For the record, Wesley could have redshirted in hopes of Mac getting fired while forseeing Fred Hoiberg coming in. He would then still be eligible. So you could be wrong in this whole argument.

not to rain on any parades, but we won our first 5 games by at least 20 last year, with one by 40+ and another by 30+ then a 10 point win over st louis. and then the **** storm came and we stunk it up again. long way to go and i would think the staff would agree

St. Louis and Drake were decent opponents, but the other 3 wins were against really weak opponents. What we're doing to Drake tonight and did to NAU is more impressive than anything we did last year early in the season.

and Lew Alcindor could have come out of retirement, petitioned the NCAA for additional eligibility, and suited up for the Clones as well.

I see only three possibilities here:

1. D+ is that bad
2. The Big 12 is that good
3. The other 11 coaches in the Big 12 had no idea what the **** they were talking about when they picked ISU to finish dead last this year

Fred keeps saying it this team has good chemistry.

I'm liking how we're penetrating tonight. Obviously Drake is not a Kansas State or a Kansas, but it's still a good sign early in this season. This wasn't supposed to happen, even against a team like Drake or Alabama State.
