ISU thuggery?

can anyone make an animated .gif of the play where AA was bent over then forearmed in the face? i would like to see that in slow motion.

When watching the game again, I was surprised that we didn't get a flag and the NU player got 15 yards for his wimpy retaliation. This was a bit over the top, and should've been flagged. It wasn't, but I doubt that AK 47 wanted to hurt him, just doing good farm technique of getting something to move, what he did will make anybody move. I had to cringe as I've been in a pile and defenseless having that same thing done to me. It also made me cringe at the slo-mo twisting of AA earlier.

They have a right to ***** about their team getting a call on this play and AK didn't. How they reacted is WAY over the top though. So glad we never have to have that group in Ames again.

Clip of the incident at full speed... and yes, I know that the title of the video is biased towards Nebby.

Note: Is the sound a bit off? Because it seems like the whistle comes in before Burkhead enters the endzone?

Also, that Nebraska got the penalty on that, and not ISU for a facemask is unfair, but it's all about what the refs see. Not what the camera sees.

Yeah, the sound is way off. The whistle blows before Burkhead gets into the endzone and the commentator starts saying "a late flag comes in" before the ref even throws the flag.

How bout he little d-bag benny cotton. Talk about a kid giving extra hits after the whistle. I was hoping LJ would smack him upside the head and give up the 15. That punk needed to be dropped.

I also observed Cotton taking cheap shots after almost every play when he was in. None were real bad, but he kept hitting way after the play ended almost every time. Not classy.

Well, that pretty much negates the clip from actual evidence. I really wanted to see if when AJ let's go of the facemask, is when the whistle blows.

It was a PF and should have been called. Now lets go back and call the 5 PFs on NU that were not called and see how the game ends. NU was constantly hitting WRs after the play was over and the PF on AA when he 'Fumbled' was much worse that this and he is a QB and should always get the benefit of the doubt.

I thought they were hitting after the whistle quite a bit too, or after players were already stopped or down.

Bottom line is that Nebraska fans bi***ing about this is a complete joke. It's classic behavior for their lower-level fans (as I've said before, they have some real nice folks among their fanbase but their dip***ts are amongst the worst college fans), pick out one item that they can martyr themselves with and forget aboout everything else that took place. It's quite funny when you pull back from the situation.

Look at the link I provided. when it is shown full speed, Klein's knee is coming up awhen the whistle blows. His hand comes off the facemask at the same time. Klein also gets knocked back two yards when he is hit so it is possible he isn't sure he is in the endzone and is playing till he hears the whistle

BTW- facemask is a stretch. he actually has the helmet under the left earhole

This is football. If they don't like it, then they shouldn't watch it.

Regardless of what you leverage on the helmet, it is a 15 yard personal foul. Only if you wrapped your arms around the entire helmet and didn't grab anything with the hands would it not be, and it would probably still be called...

"No player shall twist, turn or pull the face mask, chin strap or any helmet
opening of an opponent. It is not a foul if the face mask, chin strap or
helmet opening is not twisted, turned or pulled. When in question, it is a
foul (A.R. 9-1-2-XII)."

Watch the play at 0:30, the Nebraska players are doing everything they can to turn Arnaud around, twisting, pulling, and pushing anything they can. I don't have a problem with it, its football. We even have more reason to be ******, thats our starting QB getting twisted, the neb player was a backup RB.

This is exactly what I was thinking. There was a lot of pushing and shoving after whistles and questionable personal foul calls/non-calls.. Its part of the game and if you don't like it...

GO PLAY INTRAMURALS BROTHER!!

Thanks for posting the video. Check out the hold on Benton (at 1:06)! then check out the clip(s) on Bernton at the end of the play. Dude was held and clipped twice on the same play. They had an opportunity to call three penalties on that play and we got zippo out of it. Shut up nebby fans!

Saying things like this are exactly what is turning this game into a ***** sport. Please dont say that ever again
