Welcome aboard! Should be fun and interesting talking to Ute fans this upcoming week. I'm finally getting to attend an ISU game and we've had this one in particular circled as our "must go" game since last year.

Should be a blast!

If there is one thing that I have learned about Football ( College especially ) Is that every week is an upset waiting to happen. Especially going into someone else's house after a big win, I imagine it will be a sellout?

I look forward to a good game, The last 3 games we have played I am walking the dog by the 3rd qtr

Do You have any specific players that we should watch for? Any plays that are kind of unique and fun?

we unveiled this new play yesterday called "run back the onside kick for a touchdown." It worked well for being the first time. I am sure it will look even better with another week of practice.

Is that play kind of like our "Run the Punt back for a touchdown" Play?

In all honesty we have a Kid Named Shaky Smithson. Honestly one of the most amazing return men I have ever seen.
well here look for yourself.

I don't think so. I have seen your "run the punt back" play by several teams over the years but can't think I've see our "run the onside back" play very often. Besides, your coach has as good of chance of fielding an ISU punt as your returner does.

This should give you an idea of who are play makers are on both sides of the ball. I know it's 7 minutes long but it pretty much sums it up.

This is the kind of game that I enjoy...

I am not the huge follower of Iowa State but I do remember a few years back when you had a killing QB, whose name I do not remember.

I will be doing the learn by the day system about you but I have tremendous respect for ISU.

I have been in Ames once...cross country drive. I remember your campus. So I will start studying you guys now. Then I can at least be literate.

NYC is not Utah and It is not Iowa. It will be a cool experience this week.

Go Utes!!!

If you like to party, you're in luck. If there's one thing ISU does well, it's party before a football game.

I wish that I could make it to this game. We have been invited as Utah fans by a group of Iowa State fans to Tailgate before the game, It will be epic I am sure.

I hope that someone takes pictures and or Video and shares them with all of us that could not be there.

GO UTES!

we win home night games

We also love to party before and after games.

The one bad thing about cancelling the return trip for you guys is you have to miss the tailgating at the U which is simply amazing. Hopefully we can get you back sometime so you can enjoy one of the best settings for College football in the US.

This the guy you were thinking about:

Now in the NFL.

I'd like to hear your thoughts on the whole conference realignment. Are you excited about the Pac 10? What is your opinion on the BYU move? Did they basically do it to try to keep up with Utah and not get left behind? Also, I'd like to see what you guys think of USU. I see they beat down BYU last week. That had to be a big win for them. We got a pretty good MBB coach from USU...but he kind of flamed out!

Two notes I want to make about this.

1. I love the energy by Arnaud. Look at his celebration on ARob's run. Dude was loving every minute of this game.

2. I think it's great how the team goes to the student section and sings the fight song. Shows a real connection to the school.

We are FREAKING GIDDY as school girls about the Pac Invite. As Ute fans we have been waiting for an opportunity like this to come along basically all of our life's.

byU. WHO? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Honestly they are idiots they are going to get whats coming to them. They have unchecked ego's, holier than though attitudes, Delusional self righteous fans and I hope they rot in the WCC and Independence.

As for USU Good on them! They have been a struggling team for years.
I hated to see coach Anderson go, He was a great Defensive Coordinator and an Even better guy to have up at the U.

But he is doing amazing things up at Utah State, So I forgive him for leaving :)

Ridiculously excited. In addition to the basic financial aspects (it's likely we'll be going from $1.5 million to $10 million a year just from TV revenue), simply knowing that we'll have a legitimate chance to play for a title every year is a night and day difference. Besides, we'll be getting the likes of USC, Oregon, and Cal coming to town instead of Wyoming, New Mexico, and UNLV. Next year can't come soon enough.

Their move was a total knee-jerk reaction to Utah's invite. I think they're going to be in for a harsh dose of reality regarding going independent. BYU likes to think of themselves as Notre Dame (a religious school with a huge national following), but they're in for a big shock when they find out that no one outside of Utah gives a crap. Although in some ways I'd agree with the Notre Dame comparison - they have all of the same arrogance, and cling to success from decades ago while the rest of the college football world passes them by. :)

Also, I'd like to see what you guys think of USU. I see they beat down BYU last week. That had to be a big win for them.
Most Utah fans were thrilled with the USU win. Their head coach (Gary Anderson) used to be our defensive coordinator, and is an awesome guy. Seeing them curbstomp BYU made for an awesome bye week!
