Rumor mill help!

A guy at work here said he heard on a sports radio station that Arnaud is starting Saturday!

Any confirmation or denial of that?

Denied. No way you start a freshman in this game. I do hope he gets at least a few series in this weekend.
 
Chizik wouldn't do that to Meyer, knowing he's an Iowa kid playing in his last game against the Hawks. At least I hope he wouldn't.
 
If a change is going to be made it won't be this quick but I would not be surprised if Arnaud gets a few more series this weekend.

I'm not saying Arnaud should start, but regardless of where a kid is from and what year he is, I would hope Chizik gives the start to the player that gives us the best chance to win. Hopefully that is Meyer.

I think Meyer starts but we will see more AA in this game and if Meyer is stinking it up AA stays in. But if the rumor is true...why not? This team needs a spark and how many chances do we give Meyer? Meyer was a Freshman when he played most of the way at Kinnick his freshman year. If AA is ready lets get hm out there....

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who heard AA is going to start this weekend. I guess it's pretty serious.

Well.... I think Chizik will hold back from starting AA. Meyer started his freshman year at Kinnick, but what was our options. Sophmore Austin Flynn (who should of started) or freshman Meyer. Either one would of been thrown to the "wolves".

Also, this is bugging me all morning. Who was our quarterback in 2003 that got injured and couldn't play football again? I know we had Austin, Chris Love, and ???

Personally, I wouldn't throw AA into a start this week or the next 5 weeks, with the exception of Toledo. Let's get past Iowa, TT, OU, TX and NU ... then let AA have fun with MU, KU, CU and KSU.

I heard that rumor from Marty's dentist this morning... He said he heard it from a friend of a friend, who has a second cousin, that once went to Isu and has seen Jamie Pollard and Coach Chizik on the jumbo tron once.

Gotta love that inside source.... Or is it people just wanting attention...???
 
I thought Chizik said something about there are no major changes to the line up this week?

You know... when you put it that way, maybe we should start AA. I mean, what's it going to hurt, will we have less of a chance to win those games?

Flynn did start that game in IC at QB....
