Do you really think recruits are so stupid that this post would change recruiting this late in the process? I think most basketball players can figure out this many player defections without any possible information from a player's dad means that a program has problems.

I would hope not...Still doesn't change the lack of intelligence.

I can understand the impulse to say something to deflect criticism away from your son, especially when he's taking some on a message board, but I don't see what purpose this serves for anyone.

The only relevant info they provide is who we are going after as far as recruits and you can usually find most of the stuff on recruiting websites.

But then again, I don't know you from Adam. For all I know, you could be a 35-year old posing as a 16-year old, and the above doesn't apply.

I know that there is an agreement to keep that stuff private w/in the MBB Social Group, but I guess I'd like to see proof that there was no permission between SC and Larry off the record. It's one thing to just take info out of an invite only social group, and post w/out permission, and it's another to get that info straight from the horse's mouth. It's possible that they discussed it via a means that the rest of you weren't able to view.

It's the exact same post verbatim, so unless Summit and Monk are one and the same, it's a straight up copy paste job. And if Larry wanted it out there, it seems to me he should have posted it himself, IMO.

Or he shares my opinion in hoping McDermott does not get **** in for recruits, when it is obvious that they will end up not like playing for him.

The more ISU Men's Basketball fails next year, the easier it will be to get rid of McDermott. If that means recruiting will have to take a hit this off-season, I'm all for it!

I wouldn't have minded if he shared it in public. However, what you refer to as the "Good Ol' Boys Club" had a specific agreement that needed to be met to let into it in the first place. This trust specifically was violated.

Annnnddddddd now you're stereo-typing me. I think you could make an argument that just as many 35 year olds lack tact and experience as 16 year olds. By throwing me in with a group that, in your eyes, has many negative connotations, you are gaining nothing. Not only that, but your argument is based on a stereo-type. Since I'm also blonde, does that mean I'm an idiot (Okay, maybe not the best argument. :wink: )
