Conan/Fox update

I had heard awhile back that the affiliates wouldn't like this because their syndicated shows apparently bring in a lot of local ad revenue. But yet, somehow they were able to get a show similar to this done for Chevy Chase. So who knows.
Yeah, i'd always heard the affiliates were going to be the biggest hurdle with this for that reason. He really fits within fox's brand, and i think if the affiliates allow it to happen, itll work well. Affiliates are probably hoping to get some concessions from the network.
but wait, I thought Conan was the greatest thing since sliced bread?! I thought NBC was the only one that didn't want him??? How dare they not want the Great Conan?!
Affiliates have existing contractual obligations to existing syndicated shows. If conan is to air there, the affiliate will likely have to pay for conan *and* the syndicated show at the same time.
I hope it works out for around the 10pm time slot. It gets a little too late for me to watch if its much after then.
