I've been mostly positive this season and I still support this team as there is a lot of basketball to be played yet.

But man it is frustrating to watch the same game over and over and over. I understand people's frustrations and have many of the same concerns.
 
The most frustrating part of the whole game was how we looked 10x more athletic than them, however we couldnt rebound, especially on the offensive end and make the 5 footers
 
Nobody cares anymore if we didn't give up, if we were close with Texas, if we gave a good effort, if we lost the german scheister, etc.... only thing that matters moving forward are wins and losses. No more moral victories and feel good stories. Only thing that counts for the tournament (I cant believe I'm even using this word in reference to ISU) are wins.

Sorry but not everyone can be positive after losing a starter who just walked out and then losing to a crap texas tech team...


I hate that we cant make free throws, get out hustled, have no intensity, and get out rebounded...


Anyone else feel free to vent your frustration with this team, players, and coaches

What the hell would it matter. He has caught the ball on the block a lot this season, dribbled it out a couple dribbles and forced up a fadeaway jumper from the baseline. I rather see us run the offense through Hamilton on the block and, yes, I'm quite serious.

I think a great fan base doesn't imply ignorant and blind followers. I think the concern that is being expressed by most is a sign how much people care versus just packing it in and not watching or participating in the discussion. Being negative doesn't mean a person isn't a fan. It means they want to see change in the plan and direction of this team... ever heard of the expression "don't do the same thing and expect different results"

With that said, I do think some posts are over the top... both critical (what is referred to as negative by some posters) of the staff and players and complementary (what is referred to as positive by some posters) of the staff and players.

I think your critical (negative) post of the fan base quoted is nothing more than a post showing your frustration... this should be afforded to every fan.

I know it's tough to see the positives on nights like these, but there were some, though not many.

The bottom line is that there are far too many WTF moments by this team. Things that just make you scratch your head and sit there befuddled.

Frustration is fine. I see post after post of people complaining about stuff they've just imagined. That stuff isn't being a fan.

Our team lacks intensity and that is a reflection of the head coach. We have a five minute meltdown each game that absolutely kills us. That has been a constant since McDermott came to Ames. It takes 40 minutes to win a Big 12 game not 35.

I don't understand how we manage to play with such a weak state of mind. Like you said, we get out-hustled and have no intensity. The end of the game overshadowed a very poor performance overall. I'm not happy.
 
With No crowd support, tonight was a game we could of stolen one on the road. It looked like we were playing at Colorado. Wait we played like we were at the Buffs den. :no:

It is easy to get frustrated, but I think the guys we have are trying hard. I'm still not a fan of our coach's system - no press, no offensive rebounding - both need to be a priority when you are losing, but never will in Mac's system. Could be a long season with the way KU, KSU, BU and Mizzou are playing. Hope we can get 4 more home wins.
 
We are not very good. TT is not a good team and I think they outplayed us in every single category. If Mac is in trouble if we don't make the tourney, then it looks like he is in trouble. This team will not make post season. sigh
 
It's the same thing every game. Poor free throw shooting. Poor rebounding, even though the other team is much smaller. No perimeter defense at all. No pressure defense of any sort. Inability to finish drives or in-the-lane shots. 2 of your big guys taking 3 point shots outside instead of working it inside and drawing fouls. Same old nonsense, game after game.

Remember GMac had said earlier in the week that they were working on some new things to get CB the ball down low? Did anyone see anything new tonite?

Also, whenever TT screwed up, or ISU started to make the slightest run......Knight took a time out. TT would make a run......it would build......and GMac did nothing.

And the most ridiculous thing of all.....first it was bad enough that you took the suspension off Colvin...but then you have him in there at a critical time in the game? What message does that send to him or the rest of the team? This whole program is a mess.......sorry.......but it is.
