Mac's reaction

John, Eric, and Mac did not say one word about Barnes the entire broadcast until the very end. Mac just said he was pleased with the crowd because he was worried that the Barnes announcement would cause them to be really flat.

He'll take the high road I'm sure.

Actually he should be pretty excited about the team he has in place. I'm seriously impressed so far. Gilstrap, Dendy, Colvin, Christopherson. This is the best team he's put on the floor by far at ISU.

I'm not sure why you're laughing. UNC has top 10 accounting and finance departments and could conceivably graduate in 2 years with summer classes...
1st of all its top 5, and WHO REALLY GIVES A ****?
HB IS GOING TO UNC TO PLAY BALL!!!
NOT FOR SOME STUPID BUSINESS DEGREE!
Ask Michael Jordan... He never graduated college either.

Just because you're going to be an athlete doesn't make you incompetent. See: Greg Paulus. Maybe a college degree isn't just important to him, but to his mother. You're reallllllly assuming a lot.

I agree, I'm sure he is happy with this team. I think Christopherson is going to be solid on the perimeter and I like that he can create for himself at times. In the exhibition games and tonight he drove the lane off head fakes and got the easy buckets. Dendy will only get better. Things look great.

I'm sure Mac will stay on the high road. I'd like to know what he really thinks about it though.

His Tweet earlier kind of had some hidden anger in it if you ask me...

I don't think anger. I think disappointment would likely describe his feelings better. McDermott strikes me as too big of a person to get angry at a kid for making such a difficult decision -- and choosing a school with the tradition of UNC. I think it is disappointment that he worked so hard to get a hometown kid and was unsuccessful.

What the hell are you talking about... I never said he was incompetent. He can go anywhere in the country for that Business degree, (not to mention any of the other better 4 institutions) "it just sounded good in caveat to signing a LOI." THAT's what is so funny. ...Like he's seriously going to pursue business and accounting after he graduates... (right)
