I just looked ahead in my DirecTV guide and saw that those of us with Comcast Sportsnet Chicago won't see the telecast of the game until 12:30 on Saturday night because of a Cubs game happening at the same time as our game. Not a big deal for those of you who have sports packages or FSN Midwest as your primary FSN, but sucky for the rest of us.

I think it's on all the Fox Sports Networks, not just Midwest.

I just moved to the Chicago area and was wondering about that. So, unless you have a dish, we can't watch the game live? Do they not carry FSN in their basic cable packages?

note: I haven't moved into my apt yet, and they provide the cable, so I wasn't sure what channels I have. But I'm assuming its the same as my hotel, which only has Comcast Sportsnet.

We don't get any FSN, its only Comcast Sports Net.

That is why you have to pay for the sprots package during FB season. This wont be the only game on FSN.

Probably, but just not the Comcast networks.

Comcast Sportsnet essentially merged with FSN a few years ago. Comcast's sports networks carry some of FSN's games, but as part of that deal Fox Sports Net Chicago no longer exists and Comcast Sportsnet Chicago is in its place. Sucks during baseball season because CSN will always carry a Cubs or White Sox game before it carries a college football game.

FML.
Are there any bars that will be playing the game live?

Ya I'm sure any bar that has DirecTV will be broadcasting it. There are a lot of Iowa fans in the Chicago area.

There is a Cyclone bar in Wrigleyville and another in Aurora. Gamekeepers used to be one (Armatige and Sedgwick and Lincoln), but I don't think they are anymore.

I've noticed that... I see a lot of hawkeye garb on vehicles out here.

 dang... This sucks.

Does Comcast offer the FCS channels in Chicago (if it does, it would probably be part of a digital tier)? FCS Central will have the game also.
