Hawks vs. Panthers: In-game scouting report

Let's hope we learn something from the UNI defense here in the first.

This game might stay close for a while, but I am betting that Iowa (like we did) does not want to reveal or use too much before Iowa. They should be able to use like 25% of their playbook (again, like we did) and still win by 10+.

I know! I mean, how dumb these guys are to relay what some kid fans have been saying. Foolish!

Yes. Because that's the first AND ONLY time we've ever heard that. Don't be that guy. No one likes that guy.

How much of that is true, though? They are a pound it out type of team. Not really a whole lot to hold back on.

Iowa has been using the same coordinators and playbook for 10 years. There isn't probably much they haven't already shown. They have nothing to hide.

Good grief dude, it's the first quarter of the first game.

We are just enjoying it while it lasts, everyone here knows that Iowa is better. But it does make you wonder how a team that some hawk fans says will go to the Rose bowl can play like this against a FCS team.

I would love to see UNI upset them though.

Iowa looks like they did about 2-3 years ago: good defense, absolutely no offense. Their "best in the nation" OL is getting dominated by a FCS team -- gave up 2 sacks including a fumble and they are opening no holes for the running game. Although to be honest, a tall blade of grass is enough to tackle O'Meara.
