Hi,

My daughter is in a Country Music Shrine contest on 103.7 (thekat.com) in Omaha. It ends today at 5pm. I am one of those "non-poster" cyclonefanatics that have been hanging around for awhile. I am not an ISU alum (BVU) but I told her I would see if I could get some help from the Cyclone fans. We are members of the State Cyclone Club and we get 6 season tickets for football and drive from Omaha. It's tough being an Iowa State fan in Nebraska; but we are optimistic it will be better this year. If you have a chance please vote for Shrine # 4- Marissa Baxter / Carrie Underwood. Here is the link. Thanks for your help. It is a tight race.

Thanks for voting. She is really having fun with this. She has been trying to capture the Carrie Underwood fans through the fan club; I thought why not see what Cyclone fans can do.

We know nothing about voting on-line.:mask:

Voted as well.... Cool shrine...

Keep telling the other half that as soon as Carrie returns my many letters and calls and agrees to dinner and a movie that I'm leaving her...

Yeah, I wasn't really into Country. I couldn't stand my Dad's country growing up. Somehow, my teenage daughter has convinced me to reconsider Country music. I think it has improved over the years and now listen to it some. I grew up in the country (Mallard, Iowa) and didn't like country and she grows up in the city and somehow gets hooked on it. Thanks for the vote.

Same here. Saturday nights were Porter Wagoner, etc. all night long. I couldn't stand that stuff! Most of today's country doesn't even resemble the older stuff.

Nice shrine! Anything to help a fellow 'Clone out, especially a true fan living in the depths of Huskerland.

Would be good father/daughter bonding if you did.

Yeah; we have kind of already done that otherwise I would. We went to the Cyclone Tailgate party at the Quest; when leaving the Quest there was a scalper selling tickets to the Billy Currington / Sugarland concert. I was able to get them at a discount since the first act was almost over; so my daughter and I went to the concert. We had a great time at the Cyclone Tailgate party and the concert. It was a fun day.
