Of course I'm going to see it...and I've enjoyed most of his films. But he's probably one of my least favorite directors of all time. Micheal Bay is so full of himself and his slow motion bird POV shots, I just can't stand him. I've heard a lot of bad things about his attitude on set and when I read this article I couldn't help from laughing out loud.

Early reviews of the latest film have been unfavorable. In Britain, where the film debuted at No. 1 this weekend, The Guardian newspaper said the 150-minute movie was "like watching paint dry while getting hit over the head with a frying pan."
Michael Bay slams Par in leaked memo

The only other director that is probably way more overrated than Micheal Bay is Doug Liman, who did the first Bourne film and Jumper. He usually gets hired onto a film and goes way over budget and ends up making a film that ultimately gets reshot or redited so it makes sense. But somehow studios continue to hire him for projects despite his incompatence. Was curious what directors some of you hate or like?

I'm a little worried about this movie after reading Ebert's review (Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen :: rogerebert.com :: Reviews). I loved this first one, though admittedly it didn't have the greatest acting or plot...

If you're going to see Transformers for good acting or a good plot, you're going to be disappointed. However - if you're going to see Megan Fox in daisy dukes and see a ton of **** blow up, you're in luck.

Megan Fox and **** blowing up is great--for one movie. If you're going to make a sequel, it'd be nice to see at least a little bit of substance to it. Otherwise, what's the point?

Who says it doesn't? None of us have seen it yet. None of the X-Men or Spider-Man movies had much substance, but they still raked in the cash.

When I fork over my 6.25 at noon on Sunday, I'm not going to walk into the theater expecting to see an Oscar winner.

That's probably why I sort of like most of his movies. His action is fun and entertaining, but it doesn't mean you can't have the rest added to it. All I know the previews are laughable when I see the giant transformer sucking up all the sand. I hate when I can figure out pretty much the whole movie because of that one shot in the trailer.

I loved that South Park episode where they make fun of Michael Bay because he thinks that stuff blowing up IS plot. Yeah, he's not a good director.

Hey now, I said I loved the first movie!! Not that Ebert is the be all end all, but he gave the first movie a good review and this second one a brutal review. I will still definitely see it in the theatre, but I might have to downgrade it to North Grand dollar theatre status (I love that place!).

I think he stole the plot from a South Park episode for this movie. Think "Trapper Keeper".

Renny Harlen, Joel Schumaker and Michael Bay are 3 directors whose movies I will never pay money to watch.

Jan de Bont is a total *********, and I would include him in that list if anyone was still letting him make movies.

My favorite directors right now are Paul Thomas Anderson, the Coen brothers, Christopher Nolan and Robert Rodriguez.

The reviews I've read so far say it doesn't have any substance.

I beg to differ on the X-Men sequels not having substance. Ditto for Spider-Man 2. Spider-Man 3 did lack some substance, which is one of the reasons it sucked IMO.

BTW, I'll be seeing it some point too. :mask::wink:

I remember when old Silver Cinemas was open behind Merle Hay Mall. Every show was 2.00.

FYI, the hot blonde girl in the towel(during the dorm scene) in this movie is from Boone and went to ISU for a while....

"My nipples... they hurt when I twist them!"

"Say what you want about Mel Gibson but the man knows story structure."
