Shut up in the movie theater!

While I typically do not bring asterisks into the theater, I always make sure to shut them if I do.
 
Thats why you dont go to movies on Friday nights. Too many loud mouthed bastards aged 10-20 something. Im only 30 but may sound like an old fuddy-duddy, but i only like to go to early movies anymore, and also dont go right when they come out. But as I say that I went to see Angels and Demons today in Ankeny @ 4 and there were only about 20 or so middle aged+ people in there with us.

Extend that to about any theater.

Went to see Color Purple last month. Had another theater goer behind me who decided to add his own commentary through-out the performance.

And a lady a few seats from me during another show decided it was a sing-along.

Way back when, I actually did go to see the Bodyguard.

There was a group of teenage girls right behind me. I know, that's hard to imagine.

Well, if you've seen the film, you know that it wasn't that difficult to see what was coming. One of these girls didn't get it.

During the big Oscars scene, as we reach the climax, the killer has his laser sight on his "camera." They flash back and forth between him sending forth the sight, and the red dot appearing on Whitney's head. After a couple or so times flashing back and forth, one of these girls behind me yells out, "OMG (without abbreviation), he's gonna kill her!!!!!!"

I was kind of glad she didn't shut up. It was the best part of the movie!

I will not bring any asterisks, but I may bring a couple of ampersands.
 
One of the reasons I like watching films at home is because the theater just gets annoying with the talking. I try to make matinees when I can.

Yeah, I never go to the theater anymore. Sometimes during the day on a weekday but never on a Fri/Sat night. I don't see the appeal. I'm more than willing to wait for a movie to come out on DVD or the internet.
 
We've been to enough movies that we really should have known better than to go on a Friday night, but we went anyway. Two fat women and college age guy, all trailer trash. None of them shut up through the whole movie. God, I was pissed...:mad:
 
I had a lady answer her cell phone in front of me. proceeded to speak for several minutes until a few people started yellin "get off the phone!"

At least ma and pa spent their life savings on dem boys by takn dem out to a movies. derka der
