Cael Sanderson Offered PSU Job

I wish I was able to find a way to sever or lessen the emotional attachment I have to ISU athletics. I am so tired of all the BS that comes with it. I am also emotionally attached to Indiana, and even the most recent crap with their basketball program is nothing compared to what us ISU fans endure year-in and year-out. Mostly because I know IU will recover quickly and be elite again. With ISU I am starting to see only more disappointment in the future. Once we get something to be encouraged about, something will come out of nowhere to rip our hearts out. I'm sick of it. What could possibly be the admin issues that would make Cael want to leave? And why wouldn't this be a wake-up call to make some changes to fix whatever that issue is? You know what though? It doesn't matter, because this would happen to us regardless - it is who we are.

Rant over, but seriously, if someone has a cure for being a die hard Cyclone fan, please pass it on.
Liquor, lots and lots of liquor... and black tar heroin.

Good point!
EVERYBODY NEEDS TO BE FIRED!!!! WE NEED TO GIVE OURSELVES THE DEATH PENALTY, RAZE THE DEPARTMENT TO THE GROUND, AND START OVER, BOYYYYYSSS!!

Is that better?

You are fired! everyone is fired~! :jimlad:

Woe us ISU grads! Weep for us! Hold me Erik!

PROBLEM: Cael Sanderson having issues with the administration (JP)

SOLUTION: Get rid of JP, and keep Cael.

And never mind the impact on football, both basketball programs or any other sport?

Right or wrong, there is a pecking order with all ISU programs...

Cael is irreplaceable. A positive can't be made out of him leaving, unlike the football situation.

Ahh, judging by the past 2+ years in those sports, I think we can survive...

Why would firing an AD have an affect on the football and MBB programs? Would Greg go on a 3 month sabbatical?

Given ISU's financial situation...I don't think firing anyone is an option. Is it safe to presume the AD has a multiple year contract as well?

Donors.... If they really wanted Pollard gone and the big donors were behind the decision, there would be financing available. NOT that I want this to happen.

I'm reserving my freak-out until details are given. I just hope that we find out soon.

So your "solution" is to change coaches....sounds good. Try to see outside the, I feel better because we just made a change. Nevermind it would set everything back another 5 years, but it's something new for 6 months....so I feel better:confused:

suicide pact? Let's jump into the Raccoon River together with our Cyclone rules t-shirts on!

I'm actually wearing a Gold Rules T-shirt right now. Clearly, this is our only option.

Let me get this straight:
1) Not long ago, people were asking if Cael had the intensity to take us to the next level.
2) Now that he's offered another job (and who wouldn't offer the guy a job?), people freak out and meltdown, which has somehow put Palmer and I into a Raccoon River suicide pact?

Moods are swinging now just like the two girls we suspended at work tonight. (Apparently, we frown on altercations in the ladies' room.)

Yeah, I'm not following you here. He's not referring to coaches, he's talking about the AD.
