This might have been covered but couldn't find it in a search. Last winter I couldn't get EPSN+ to work out of country using a Norton VPN. 86'd Norton and am asking what others have used to get into their ESPN+ account when overseas. Anyone use Nord and have it work in Euro or Mexico? Other suggested VPNs?

I saw this nice writeup of the 25th (!) anniversary of ISU beating UCONN in the NCAA Tournament. I thought others might enjoy the look back.

I knew that adding the new teams in this year schedule would prove to be challenging but never in my wildest dreams did i think that it would produce games like we have had so far this year in the conference.

I didn't think that BYU would be as good as they are. I mean looking right now there are 11 teams in the standings that have 14 plus wins. The leaders of the conference already have 3 loses . I mean i love the balance of the conference, it makes for great games night in and night out .

Anyone else have any thoughts?

Last September, I caught up with one of the Iowa State Cyclones that tallied tackles among the best of them.

This is Ted Jornov's (letter winner from 1971-1973) life story as he shared with me.

Will be a huge dual and likely to be a lot closer than most would think. Will be interesting to see how UNI fares with WVU today.

125 - toss up. Andersen from Ankeny is tougher than I expected.

133 - slight favorite. Frost majored Farber in Vegas but he has been tough since and likely keeps it closer.

141 - toss up. Obviously this assuming Ech goes. Happel is tough as nails and took it to Ech in Vegas, but see above.

149 - heavy favorite. This should approaching bonus territory depending on who UNI throws out.

157 - toss up. Super impressed with Downey this year, he is tough. Our guy will be ready to scrap too.

165 - heavy favorite.

174 - toss up. MJ is hot right now and Simma is a pinner as well. Definitely likely to see back points in this one.

184 - heavy underdog.

197 - underdog. Voelker is only going to get better and is a future AA IMO.

285 - heavy favorite. Their guy is no slouch but this shouldn’t be an issue. He’s an athletic, smaller heavy.

Could be a tight one, UNI always has this one circled.

I am personally no D1 athlete, but back in school I use to be able consistently stand and hit 7/10 or 8/10 free throws. I guess I don’t know what I am missing with this team and why we can’t make them consistently. It’s been like this for Iowa State even going back to Fred’s teams. I imagine they practice them and get shots up. It’s like their brains melt to mush when they stand behind the free throw line.

Milan Momcilovic banked in a 3-pointer as time expired that would have capped off a chaotic game against No. 18 Baylor with an Iowa State win.

After review, the shot was called off, and the Cyclones came up just one play and a tenth of a second short.
